Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTo loop Bengali songs on YouTube Live with OBS, add a local audio or video file as an OBS Media Source, enable Loop, check that audio is reaching the mixer, then connect OBS to YouTube Studio with the stream URL and stream key. For a playlist, use OBS’s VLC Video source. You must also have permission to livestream the exact recordings and visuals you use; looping a file does not grant broadcast rights.
Before configuring OBS: clear the exact songs and visuals
Confirm that your permission covers livestream distribution of each composition and sound recording, the territories where viewers may watch, any artwork or video footage, and the resulting archive. Permission to listen privately or upload a file elsewhere does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it. Bengali-language music is not automatically public domain or cleared for YouTube.
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. Its copyright guidance says a rights holder may need to add a licensed channel to its Content ID allowlist; without that, a stream can still be interrupted even if you have a license. The platform’s detection process does not determine whether a particular license covers your use.
Prepare a single song file or a playlist
One song or one prepared video
Keep the media file on the computer running OBS and note its location. OBS’s built-in Media Source supports common formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV. See the OBS Media Sources guide for source options and supported media details.

Several tracks in sequence
For an ordered playlist, use OBS’s VLC Video source and add the files in the desired order. VLC must be installed on the same computer; OBS notes that 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC. For one file, the built-in Media Source is the simpler choice. Playlist behavior and options are covered in the OBS guide.
Configure the OBS scene and audio
- Create a scene: In the Scenes dock, select +, name the scene, and confirm.
- Add the media: In the Sources dock, select + → Media Source. Name it, choose whether to make it a new source, then select Browse and choose the local file.
- Enable looping: In the Media Source properties, check Loop so the file restarts when playback completes. For a VLC playlist, configure the playlist source to loop.
- Check the preview: Make sure the video or artwork is visible and framed as intended. OBS layers sources according to their order in the Sources list, so move a source up or down if another source covers it. Audio-only files can stream without a visible video; add an authorized image or visual if you want something on screen.
- Check sound: Start playback and watch the Audio Mixer meters. If they do not move, or the wrong audio device is being captured, open Settings → Audio and select the appropriate devices manually. OBS’s Quick Start Guide explains the initial setup and audio checks.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- Confirm live access: If this is your first time streaming, YouTube says enabling live streaming may take up to 24 hours. Check access before the day you plan to broadcast. This is YouTube’s operational guidance, not an OBS setup delay. See the YouTube encoder guide.
- Open Live Control Room: In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live and configure a new broadcast or select a scheduled one.
- Copy the connection details: In the stream setup, copy YouTube’s stream URL and stream key. In OBS, open Settings → Stream. Choose YouTube if it is available in the service list; otherwise choose the option to enter a stream key, then enter YouTube’s server URL and key as requested.
- Protect the key: Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a broadcast to your channel. Do not share it publicly. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio and update OBS.
- Test before the broadcast: In OBS, start streaming for a few minutes and check the picture, audio, and connection. OBS recommends a short test before a first stream. Its Help Portal notes that increasing dropped frames indicate a connection that is unstable or cannot sustain the chosen bitrate. OBS’s Auto-Configuration Wizard can help set initial streaming settings based on your computer and network.
- Start the scheduled event: Wait for the OBS feed to appear in YouTube Live Control Room. For a scheduled broadcast, confirm the preview and select Go live in Live Control Room; connecting OBS alone does not start the scheduled event.
Keep the loop running and verify the archive
With a local OBS loop, the computer, OBS, media file, and internet connection must remain available for the stream to continue. Monitor the broadcast and the OBS status rather than assuming a successful start guarantees an uninterrupted stream.

YouTube’s encoder guide says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. YouTube also says archived live streams may receive Content ID claims after the stream ends. Make sure your rights cover the archive as well as the live broadcast.
Troubleshoot common problems
- The file stops instead of restarting: Reopen the Media Source properties and check Loop. For a playlist, verify the VLC Video source’s loop setting.
- No audio reaches YouTube: Play the source and watch the Audio Mixer. If the meter is inactive or the wrong device is selected, use Settings → Audio to select the correct device. Check the source’s audio settings and run another short test.
- The preview is blank, cropped, or covered: Confirm the selected file is available at its saved location, then inspect the OBS preview and the order of items in the Sources list. A higher source can obscure one below it.
- The VLC playlist source is unavailable: Install VLC on the OBS computer and check that its architecture matches OBS; OBS specifically notes the 64-bit OBS/64-bit VLC requirement.
- YouTube does not show an incoming feed: Confirm that OBS is using the stream URL and key for the intended YouTube broadcast. Check that the key was copied correctly and has not been reset. For a scheduled stream, wait for the preview in Live Control Room before selecting Go live.
- Dropped frames rise during the test: OBS identifies this as a sign that the connection is unstable or cannot sustain the chosen bitrate. Use the Auto-Configuration Wizard for initial settings, then retest on the connection you will use for the broadcast.
- YouTube interrupts the stream or claims the archive: Review the notice and the rights for the exact recording and visual material. If you have a license, ask the rights holder about adding your channel to its Content ID allowlist; a license alone may not prevent an interruption if the channel is not allowlisted.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you want the uploaded Bengali songs to keep looping without leaving a computer on at home, StreamNeo is an optional YouTube-only cloud service: upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Uploaded media streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot rather than quality tiers. The first day is free with no card. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are supported in India; card checkout is available worldwide. Check that your storage needs fit the included 10 GB per slot, pooled across active slots. You still need permission for the songs and visuals.
