You generally cannot enable new Skrill tips on Streamlabs at present. Streamlabs announced a pause in Skrill and paysafecard tips effective March 6, 2023, and its latest located support notice, updated September 5, 2025, still describes the pause without giving a restart date. Check your own Streamlabs dashboard or contact Streamlabs support to confirm whether Skrill has returned for your account. If you need to accept tips now, see whether PayPal or the card option is available to you.
Is Skrill still supported on Streamlabs?
Streamlabs’ support notice says: “On Mar 6, 2023, we will be pausing support for Skrill and Paysafecard as tip payment methods while Skrill works to resolve some technical issues.” The notice said creators would not receive new Skrill tips after that date, although tips sent before then could still be withdrawn. Streamlabs last updated the notice on September 5, 2025; it still reports the pause and does not state when support will resume. This is Streamlabs’ published status, not an independent check of every creator’s dashboard.
For that reason, do not treat an older Skrill connection guide as evidence that you can accept new Skrill tips today. Payment integrations can vary by account and location. Look in your Streamlabs dashboard for Skrill under tip methods, or ask Streamlabs support whether it is currently enabled for your account.
What to use instead: connect an available tip method
Streamlabs’ general flow is to connect a payment method in the dashboard, configure your tip page, and share its link with supporters. Its public overview describes PayPal and card options, but availability depends on your region, account, and processor.

- Open your Streamlabs dashboard and review tip methods. Streamlabs’ setup guidance describes the path as Tipping, then Tip Methods. Choose a method currently shown as available to your account; dashboard labels may change.
- Complete the provider’s connection and verification steps. For PayPal, Streamlabs says to link the correct PayPal email in donation settings. For card tips, check the current Stripe FAQ and the requirements presented in your dashboard.
- Configure your tip page. Streamlabs describes settings for items such as minimum and recommended tip amounts, display currency, and a customized message or image. You can offer one-time or monthly recurring contributions through the tip page where supported.
- Preview and share the page link. Confirm the displayed payment options and currency before sharing it with viewers. If a method is missing, do not promise supporters they can use it; check regional and account eligibility with the relevant provider or Streamlabs.
Streamlabs says it does not take a cut of tips, but this is not a promise that every payment is fee-free: payment processor fees may apply, and provider terms govern processing, conversion, settlement, and withdrawals.
PayPal
Streamlabs’ PayPal instructions focus on linking the correct PayPal email in donation settings. Whether PayPal appears and what account capabilities you need can depend on your location and PayPal account. Confirm the connected email and review the tip page as a supporter would before publishing it.

Card tips
Streamlabs’ Stripe FAQ lists card-tip availability for Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The FAQ says creators need a checking account, must be at least 18, and may need to provide identity details for processor verification. It lists a standard processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 USD, while noting fees vary by streamer and donor country. Check the current FAQ and your dashboard because supported locations and fees can change.
Why the old Skrill instructions are not a current setup
Streamlabs’ Skrill help article was published August 31, 2016 and last updated April 25, 2025. It describes creating a Skrill account and connecting it in Streamlabs, and says only a subset of Skrill payment methods was supported. It also describes withdrawing Skrill balances through a Withdraw button under Skrill in Tip Settings. Those are historical instructions; the separate pause notice governs whether new Skrill tips can be enabled.

The older article lists paysafecard at 9% + $0.25 per transaction, Sofort at 2.5% + $0.25, and Skrill Wallet and Neteller Wallet at 2.9% + $0.25 each. It also describes immediate availability for paysafecard tips, a 15-day clearance period for other listed methods, a 1% withdrawal fee for non-USD account currency, and foreign-exchange fees. These are figures and terms published in Streamlabs’ 2025-updated Skrill article, not verified current charges or evidence that Skrill is currently available on Streamlabs. Skrill’s merchant guide also explains that checkout methods can vary by customer country and merchant configuration; that general point does not establish Streamlabs availability.
Check these details before you share a tip link
- Availability: Verify that the method appears in your account and is usable in your country, and check that viewers can see it on your tip page.
- Payout destination: Confirm the linked PayPal address or bank account and understand how the provider sends funds.
- Fees and currency: Review processing, withdrawal, and conversion charges with the provider. Do not rely on historical Skrill charges as current terms.
- Timing: Check the provider’s current settlement and clearance schedule so you know when tips can be withdrawn.
- Verification and disputes: Review identity, age, and account requirements, as well as the processor’s rules for refunds and chargebacks.
Troubleshooting: a payment method is missing or not working
Skrill does not appear in Tip Methods
The published Streamlabs notice still describes Skrill as paused. Check the dashboard for account-specific availability and ask Streamlabs support if you need a definitive answer. Use another method that is actually offered to your account rather than following the older Skrill guide as if it were current.

PayPal is connected, but supporters cannot use it
Check that the correct PayPal email is linked in donation settings and that the method appears on the public tip page. If it remains unavailable, confirm account and regional eligibility with Streamlabs and PayPal.
The card option is unavailable or verification is incomplete
Check whether your country is included in Streamlabs’ current Stripe coverage, whether you meet the stated age requirement, and whether the processor has requested bank or identity details. Resolve any verification prompts through the processor before relying on card tips.

A tip is pending or the payout is lower than expected
Review the payment provider’s settlement status and transaction details, including processing, withdrawal, and currency-conversion charges. Streamlabs’ historical Skrill figures should not be used to diagnose a current payment or predict a payout.
