To use Discord Reactive Images as a PNGTuber, prepare matching idle and speaking images, connect to the FugiTech service with Discord, join the voice channel you will use, and add the generated Individual Browser Source link to OBS or Streamlabs Desktop. The avatar changes when your microphone registers speech. This is a third-party workflow, not a built-in Discord avatar feature.
What you need
- A Discord account and access to the voice channel you plan to use.
- Streaming software with Browser Source support, such as OBS or Streamlabs Desktop.
- Two images of the same character: one idle and one speaking. PNG files are used in the setup described by Streamlabs.
- A microphone selected for Discord voice input.
You can draw the images yourself or commission an artist if you do not have artwork. Streamlabs identifies Etsy, Fiverr, Twitter, and Upwork as places where users may look for commissions; availability and sellers vary.
Prepare the two avatar images
Make an idle image with the mouth closed and a speaking image with the mouth open. Keep the character, canvas dimensions, crop, and placement consistent between them. Transparent backgrounds help the avatar sit cleanly over your scene. Matching the images prevents the character from appearing to jump when the state changes.
Connect Discord Reactive Images and upload your artwork
- Open the FugiTech website at https://fugitech.com/ and follow its link to Discord Reactive Images.
- Sign in with Discord. Read the authorization request Discord displays and decide whether to approve it. The current permission scopes could not be confirmed from the service page, so review the actual prompt rather than assuming what access it requests.
- Upload or configure the idle and speaking images in the service, then copy the generated “Individual Browser Source” link.
Treat the generated URL as private. Do not show it in a public screenshot, stream scene export, or tutorial. The service’s current source-reset and revocation controls have not been independently confirmed.

Add the avatar to OBS or Streamlabs Desktop
- Join the Discord voice channel you intend to use. The setup guide notes that the avatar may not appear until you are connected to a voice channel.
- In your streaming software, open the scene where the avatar should appear and add a Browser Source.
- Paste the complete Individual Browser Source link into the source’s URL field. Adjust the source dimensions and position to fit your scene.
- Test the scene in your actual layout. Interface labels and canvas settings can vary by software version and layout.
Test the speaking and idle states
With the scene visible, speak into the microphone selected in Discord and confirm the speaking image appears. Stop speaking and check that the idle image returns. If you plan to use the avatar in a Discord video call rather than only in a stream scene, that is a separate workflow: OBS can send its scene through a virtual camera after you add the avatar to OBS.
Troubleshoot common problems

Local alternative: veadotube Mini
If you want more control over avatar states or prefer a locally controlled setup, veadotube Mini is an alternative. Its official documentation describes Mini 2.2 and was last updated March 19, 2026. Unlike the FugiTech workflow centered on a Discord voice channel and a generated Browser Source, veadotube can listen to a selected microphone or to a Discord or TeamSpeak user, and you capture the app in OBS.

Configure veadotube Mini
- Start with a closed-mouth and open-mouth image pair. The documentation also describes a four-image configuration that adds blinking, or a single still image with motion effects.
- It supports GIF, animated PNG, and WebP. Its guide recommends resizing images to around 1024×1024 while preserving aspect ratio and gives 2048×2048 as its stated maximum recommendation; very large or animated images can use more memory.
- Select the audio input, configure noise filtering, and adjust the activation threshold and the time before the app returns to the closed-mouth state.
Capture veadotube in OBS
The official veadotube OBS guide recommends Spout2 for transparency and hidden UI on Windows, PipeWire Video on Linux, and Syphon Client on macOS. Window capture is also listed, with platform-specific caveats. Check the guide for the capture method appropriate to your operating system and OBS setup.
