Make it easy for a sponsor to see who your stream reaches, why its audience fits the brand, and what you can deliver. Prepare a concise profile or media kit, pursue suitable opportunities through platform tools or direct outreach, review the campaign brief and contract before agreeing, and disclose paid or gifted endorsements clearly during the stream.
Prepare your channel before you pitch
A sponsor needs enough reliable information to judge whether your channel and audience fit a campaign. Keep your channel information current and assemble a concise creator profile or media kit that makes your content, audience, and proposed work easy to assess.
Include evidence, not guesses
- Describe what you stream, the community you serve, and the kinds of content you make.
- Use current audience figures and demographics from verified platform analytics where available. Identify the measurement period and do not invent audience characteristics or campaign results.
- Show examples of relevant streams or past work, if you have them.
- Explain what you could make for this particular brand and what evidence you can provide after the campaign.
Twitch’s Creator Profile lets Partners and Affiliates share channel information and sponsorship interests with brands that have an advertising relationship with Twitch. Twitch says a completed profile can improve the chance of sponsorship opportunities, but a profile is not a guarantee of selection. Its guide also describes the use of official Twitch audience and demographic data when creators connect with brands.
Make the pitch specific
A useful first message answers five questions: Who are you? What does your stream cover? Who watches it? Why might that community care about this brand? What specific sponsored activation are you proposing? Keep the proposal tailored to the brand rather than sending an interchangeable request for “a sponsorship.” No universal pitch format or response rate is established by the available platform guidance.

Find opportunities that fit your channel
Sponsorship leads can come from platform discovery tools, campaign platforms, or direct outreach. An invitation or application is only a lead: availability, eligibility, campaign fit, and final terms still matter.

Twitch Creator Sponsorships
Complete and maintain your Twitch Creator Profile. In an announcement dated August 20, 2026, Twitch said Affiliates must accept the Sponsorship Portal terms and complete Creator Sponsorship Certification to be eligible for opportunities. Twitch says that when a profile matches an opportunity, the creator is prompted by email and notification. Certification and profile completion establish eligibility or improve discovery; they do not ensure an offer.
Other platform and campaign routes
Twitch announced a partnership with Wehype in August 2026 to surface additional third-party offers in the dashboard. Twitch’s 2025 announcement described StreamElements as an earlier sponsorship partner and framed platform offers as an addition to the other ways creators find sponsors. Check your current dashboard for what is actually available to your account; announcements do not establish that every offer or partner is available to every creator or region.

Streamlabs has a separate application workflow: creators apply to campaigns, and approval can lead to a notification and contract. Its support information says campaigns may require streaming from Streamlabs Desktop and submitting Twitch clips. These are Streamlabs-specific requirements, not universal sponsorship rules.

Identify a brand whose customers plausibly overlap with your actual community, then contact an appropriate partnership or creator-marketing representative. Send a short introduction, a link to your profile or media kit, and a concrete idea for a campaign. Do not claim likely earnings or a success rate: the platform sources do not establish a general response rate for direct outreach.

Check the brief and contract before you accept
Read the campaign brief and agreement together. Requirements vary by campaign, so confirm the details in writing rather than assuming that another creator’s deal—or another platform’s workflow—sets the terms for yours.
- Deliverables: Confirm each required live mention, on-screen asset, link, discount code, panel, follow-up post, or clip.
- Schedule and approvals: Check stream dates, submission deadlines, review or approval steps, and what proof the sponsor or platform expects.
- Payment: Confirm the amount and currency, who pays, what triggers payment, and when it is due. Streamlabs says payment timing is at the sponsor’s discretion; its current FAQ gives a 30–45 day target after approval while reserving that discretion. That timing is specific to Streamlabs’ stated process, not a general sponsorship payment standard.
- Content rights: Ask whether the brand can reuse your stream, clips, name, or likeness, and specify where and for how long.
- Exclusivity and cancellation: Clarify category restrictions, cancellation or early-termination terms, and what happens if you cannot complete a deliverable.
- Product claims: Check what claims are requested or prohibited. Agree only to statements you can make truthfully from your own experience.
Disclose the sponsorship during the livestream
Twitch requires creators to use its branded-content tool when a livestream contains branded content. Twitch describes branded content broadly: it includes content featuring, using, discussing, or promoting a product or service in exchange for value such as payment, goods, or services. Twitch also says creators and brands remain responsible for complying with applicable law.

FTC staff guidance says payment and free or discounted products or services can create a material connection that should be disclosed. Use plain language viewers can notice near the endorsement itself, and repeat the disclosure periodically so people joining partway through the stream see it. In its November 2019 Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers guidance, FTC staff states: “If making an endorsement in a live stream, the disclosure should be repeated periodically so viewers who only see part of the stream will get the disclosure.” Do not assume a platform tool by itself is enough.

Deliver the campaign and keep proof
- Keep a copy of the signed agreement and final brief where you can check them while preparing the stream.
- Use the required placements and disclosures, and follow the agreed schedule and approval process.
- Save the relevant VOD or clips and submit them, along with any other required evidence, through the campaign’s stated process.
- Keep a record of what you submitted and any sponsor or platform feedback.
Streamlabs says campaigns may require creators to submit clips and that campaign assets and content are reviewed before a payout decision. Follow the instructions for your specific campaign; a different platform or sponsor may use a different process. Throughout the endorsement, do not claim product use or results you have not personally experienced.
When an always-on YouTube format fits the campaign
