Usually not if you mean one video that repeats continuously. StreamYard’s prerecorded-stream feature schedules a video to start at a chosen time and ends the broadcast when that video finishes. It does not document an automatic repeat loop. It may suit a small channel that wants a separate, finite prerecorded broadcast to start automatically each day—provided the video fits the chosen plan’s length limit and the channel is comfortable with the current checkout price.
Does StreamYard loop a video automatically?
No documented feature says a scheduled prerecorded video repeats until stopped. StreamYard’s help page says the broadcast starts at its scheduled time and ends when the video finishes. That supports scheduled daily broadcasts, not a single continuous loop. If “daily loop” means playing the same finite video once each day, the feature may fit; if it means uninterrupted playback that repeats, it does not meet that need on the documented workflow. These are StreamYard’s documented plan specifications, accessed in 2026. Prerecorded streaming is not available on the Free plan. Eligible plans can schedule broadcasts up to 365 days ahead. A plan’s count is how many prerecorded streams can be scheduled at once, not how many broadcasts the channel may publish over its lifetime. File and quality requirements
- Upload an MP4 using H.264 video encoding.
- The upload bitrate limit is 10 Mbps, and prerecorded broadcasts stream at up to 1080p.
- The file must fit the selected plan’s size cap in the table.
- You can upload a video or select an existing recording, choose destinations, and set a date and time.
StreamYard says prerecorded broadcasts are no longer automatically saved to its library. If an announcement post is scheduled, the YouTube share link appears at announcement time; without one, the link appears when the broadcast goes live. StreamYard’s prerecorded-stream instructions

Can it keep a daily broadcast running for a long time?
Separate three limits: the length of the prerecorded file, how long a destination permits a stream to run, and how long StreamYard can record it to its own storage. StreamYard says paid plans have no StreamYard-side streaming-duration limit, while its storage guidance separately caps its own live-stream recordings at 10 hours per stream on Core, Advanced, and Teams, and 24 hours on Business. YouTube’s guidance says it automatically archives streams under 12 hours. These are not interchangeable guarantees: a broadcast’s ability to continue does not mean StreamYard will record all of it or YouTube will archive it. Recording storage is a separate constraint
StreamYard lists default storage as 5 hours on Free, 50 hours on Core, Advanced, and Teams, and 700+ hours on Business. If storage is full, StreamYard says broadcasts can continue, but streams will not be recorded there until space is freed or increased. Will daily repeated content affect YouTube monetization?
A repeated format is not described as automatically disqualifying, but repetition with little variation or viewer value can put monetization eligibility at risk. YouTube’s monetization policy applies to livestreams and expects original, authentic content; it covers repetitive or mass-produced material under its “inauthentic content” policy, clarified on July 15, 2025. What setup and scheduling steps should a small channel expect?
- Enable YouTube live streaming. YouTube requires a verified channel and no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. After verification, enabling live streaming may take up to 24 hours. YouTube live-stream setup
- Connect YouTube to StreamYard. StreamYard’s connection guide says live streaming may need to be enabled in YouTube first. StreamYard also says its desktop workflow can bypass YouTube’s mobile-app subscriber requirement; this is not an exemption from YouTube’s other live-stream rules. Connect YouTube to StreamYard
- Prepare a compliant file. Check the MP4/H.264, bitrate, resolution, and file-size limits for the plan, and confirm the content’s rights and monetization suitability.
- Create the prerecorded broadcast. In StreamYard, upload the video or select an existing recording, choose YouTube as the destination, and set the scheduled date and time. Confirm the broadcast duration is within the plan cap.
- Test the workflow and archive plan. Verify the destination, start time, playback, and where you will retain the recording. Do not treat StreamYard recording, YouTube archiving, and the stream itself as the same thing.
If you instead produce a camera-led live show, YouTube recommends leaving about 20% bandwidth headroom beyond the total stream bitrate and testing the setup. That advice is relevant to a live production connection, not a prerequisite for scheduling an already uploaded prerecorded video. YouTube live streaming tips
Is StreamYard worth the money for this use?
It is more plausible when you value scheduled starts, want to present a finite prerecorded video as a livestream, and your file fits the plan’s cap. It is a poor fit if you need a single video to repeat continuously, need a prerecorded stream longer than the plan permits, or only want to publish a standard YouTube upload. StreamYard’s consulted help material does not disclose current plan prices; check its checkout for the price and billing period that apply to you before deciding. Do not infer value from the word “unlimited”: stream duration, prerecorded-file length, recording limits, and storage are distinct constraints.
