Short answer: OneStream Live and the EMEET StreamCam One (Gen 2) have protocol-level compatibility because OneStream accepts RTMP encoder streams and EMEET lists RTMP support for this camera. That makes a connection plausible, but does not confirm that the camera can enter OneStream’s server URL and stream key or that the two have been tested together. If the camera cannot send to a custom RTMP endpoint, OneStream documents using an encoder such as OBS Studio as an alternative.
What is compatible—and what is not confirmed
OneStream Live supports encoder streaming using RTMP, RTMPS, WHIP, and SRT. Its setup instructions have you choose a protocol and stream key in Encoder Streaming settings, then use the displayed server URL and key in the encoder. The OneStream Help Center page listing protocols was last updated August 27, 2026: supported streaming protocols.
EMEET’s official product specification lists RTMP support for the StreamCam One (Gen 2). The page does not establish that the camera accepts an arbitrary server URL and stream key, can target OneStream’s particular endpoint, or has been verified in a working OneStream setup: EMEET StreamCam One (Gen 2) specifications.
So the accurate verdict is plausible RTMP compatibility, not verified direct compatibility. Do not assume the finding applies to other EMEET cameras or microphones.

How to check whether a direct connection will work
- Get OneStream’s encoder details. In OneStream Live, open Encoder Streaming settings, select a protocol supported by the sending device, and obtain the displayed server URL and stream key. Follow OneStream’s current instructions: How to Update Live Streaming Protocol?
- Check the camera’s streaming controls. Confirm in the camera’s available controls or documentation that it can use a custom RTMP server URL and stream key. RTMP support alone does not establish that those fields are available.
- Match the protocol and endpoint. The protocol selected in OneStream must be supported by the device or encoder sending the stream, and the server URL and key must be entered correctly.
- Test privately before a public broadcast. Check that OneStream receives video and that audio is present and clear. A successful test on your exact camera, firmware, app, and OneStream configuration is the meaningful confirmation of the complete connection.
If the camera cannot send directly: use a host encoder
OneStream documents encoder workflows using third-party tools including OBS Studio, Zoom, vMix, and Wirecast. In this setup, a host encoder sends the stream to OneStream using the server URL and key. The camera must first provide video—and, if needed, audio—to that encoder. The specific camera-to-computer connection and audio routing depend on the model and operating system; they are not established by the cited product specifications. - Set up a supported host encoder and confirm that it can receive the camera’s video and audio.
- In OneStream Encoder Streaming settings, select the protocol and copy the server URL and stream key.
- Enter those details in the host encoder, then select the correct camera video and audio sources.
- Start with a short test and verify the received picture and sound before going live to your intended audience.
EMEET audio: what the specifications say
For the StreamCam One (Gen 2) specifically, EMEET lists two built-in microphones, one wireless lapel microphone, and a 3.5 mm TRS external microphone input. Its product page says EMEETSTREAM controls let users select external audio and set gain. These are camera-specific specifications; they do not show that a standalone EMEET microphone connects directly to OneStream. The microphone must be selected by whichever device or encoder is actually sending the stream.

Choose a direct setup only if the camera exposes the needed endpoint settings and a test succeeds. Otherwise, the documented encoder workflow is the more clearly described route, provided you can get the camera’s video and audio into the host encoder.
