First find out whether the problem is with watching a YouTube live stream or broadcasting one: the troubleshooting below is for playback, and it cannot diagnose an encoder or an outgoing broadcast. Compare the same video on another connection and YouTube on another device, then use MyJio diagnostics if the problem appears to affect your JioFiber connection. These checks help narrow the cause; they do not establish that JioFiber has a specific YouTube defect.
Identify what is disconnecting
Note whether you are watching a live stream or sending a broadcast to YouTube. Also check whether ordinary YouTube videos stop, whether other apps or websites fail, and whether more than one device is affected. Record the time, device, app, any error message, and whether playback resumes on its own. This helps distinguish a YouTube app or device problem from a wider connection issue.
If you are broadcasting rather than watching, this guide does not cover encoder settings or diagnose the upload path. Keep the encoder’s error message and note whether the device loses internet access; Jio can use those details when you contact support.
Compare devices and connections
- Try another device on JioFiber. Replay the same stream on a second phone, TV, or computer. If only one device fails, focus first on that device and its YouTube app.
- Try another connection on the affected device. Use a mobile hotspot or another available internet connection and replay the stream. Mobile-data charges may apply. YouTube recommends changing the internet connection and trying playback again: YouTube Help troubleshooting.
- Check other services and devices. If several apps or websites fail across devices, investigate the home connection rather than treating it as a YouTube-only problem. Jio’s guidance notes that if other sites work but a particular site does not, the issue may be specific to that site: JioFiber User Guide.
Each comparison narrows where to look, but none alone proves that JioFiber, YouTube, or a particular device is at fault.

- OneMesh Compatible Router - Form a seamless WiFi when work with TP-Link OneMesh WiFi Extenders
- Next-Gen Wi-Fi 6 Technology – The Archer AX10 leverages advanced Wi-Fi 6 features like OFDMA and 1024-QAM to deliver improved efficiency across your entire network. Perfect for high-bandwidth activities like streaming, gaming, and smart home connectivity.
- Next-gen Dual Band router - 300 Mbps on 2. 4 GHz (802. 11n) plus 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz (802. 11ax)
- Connect more devices than ever before - Wi-Fi 6 technology simultaneously communicates more data to more devices using OFDMA and MU-MIMO while reducing lag dramatically
- Powerful Dual-Core 900MHz Processor – Handles multiple data streams simultaneously for reliable performance across your devices. Ensures smooth streaming, online gaming, and video conferencing without buffering or lag.
Check Wi-Fi where you watch
A speed test beside the router may not reflect the signal at the TV. Test connectivity at the viewing location, move the TV or router closer if practical, and pause heavy use on other devices while you retry playback. YouTube recommends checking the connection near the TV and minimizing other network use.
- If your Wi-Fi offers both bands, try 5 GHz when the device is close to the router and speed is the priority; try 2.4 GHz when you need more coverage. Jio’s guide describes this speed-versus-coverage trade-off.
- Temporarily lower YouTube playback quality to see whether interruptions ease. YouTube recommends at least 7 Mbps for HD streaming on TV. That is a recommendation, not a guarantee of uninterrupted live playback; YouTube notes that network congestion and other factors can affect live programming.
- If the device has an Ethernet port, test it with a wired connection. Jio recommends wired connections for streaming video. A Cat 6 Ethernet cable can make this comparison possible, but Ethernet is an isolation test, not a guaranteed fix.

- DUAL-BAND WIFI 6 ROUTER: Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax) technology achieves faster speeds, greater capacity and reduced network congestion compared to the previous gen. All WiFi routers require a separate modem. Dual-Band WiFi routers do not support the 6 GHz band.
- AX1800: Enjoy smoother and more stable streaming, gaming, downloading with 1.8 Gbps total bandwidth (up to 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- CONNECT MORE DEVICES: Wi-Fi 6 technology communicates more data to more devices simultaneously using revolutionary OFDMA technology
- EXTENSIVE COVERAGE: Achieve the strong, reliable WiFi coverage with Archer AX1800 as it focuses signal strength to your devices far away using Beamforming technology, 4 high-gain antennas and an advanced front-end module (FEM) chipset
- OUR CYBERSECURITY COMMITMENT: TP-Link is a signatory of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure-by-Design pledge. This device is designed, built, and maintained, with advanced security as a core requirement.
Refresh the YouTube app and viewing device
- Quit YouTube completely, reopen it, and replay the stream.
- Restart the TV, streaming device, phone, or computer you are watching on.
- Check for available software updates for the device and install them according to its settings.
- On supported mobile-app platforms, follow YouTube’s cache-clearing guidance in its troubleshooting page.
- For a Jio set-top box app issue, Jio’s guide describes clearing the affected app’s cache and data. Clearing data may sign you out, so be ready to sign in again.
Run JioFiber diagnostics
Use MyJio’s Run Diagnostics flow to check the JioFiber connection, router, Wi-Fi coverage, and device health. Follow the repair guidance or service-request steps shown for the reported issue. Jio’s instructions are available at Run Diagnostics on JioFiber Network To Check Status and Fix Issues.
Also check that gateway cables are secure and that the gateway is online. If your setup includes an external router or switch, temporarily bypass it as a controlled test. If a VPN is active, try playback with it disconnected. Check whether the affected device has been blocked in the network settings. Restore your usual setup after each test if it did not change the result. These checks are troubleshooting possibilities, not proof that any one setting caused the disconnection.

- Next-Gen Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Speeds: 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz bands ensure smoother streaming and faster downloads; support VPN server and VPN client¹
- A More Responsive Experience: Enjoy smooth gaming, video streaming, and live feeds simultaneously. OFDMA makes your Wi-Fi stronger by allowing multiple clients to share one band at the same time, cutting latency and jitter.²
- Expanded Wi-Fi Coverage: 4 high-gain external antennas and Beamforming technology combine to extend strong, reliable, Wi-Fi throughout your home.
- Improved Battery Life: Target Wake Time helps your devices to communicate efficiently while consuming less power.
- Improved Cooling Design: No heat ups, no throttles. A larger heat sink and redefined case design cools the WiFi 6 system and enables your network to stay at top speeds in more versatile environments.
When to contact Jio or YouTube
Contact JioCare or raise a service request through MyJio if interruptions continue across devices or services, or if diagnostics reports a service fault. Share the affected devices, approximate failure times, diagnostic result, exact message, and whether trying Ethernet or another connection changed playback. YouTube also provides a feedback option under Help and Feedback after playback trouble; its general guidance does not identify a JioFiber-specific cause.

If you meant that your own pre-recorded YouTube stream keeps stopping because a computer at home must stay on, StreamNeo is a separate option for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded video in the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. It supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream, and the first day is free with no card. Monthly is $9.99 per month. It streams to YouTube only and is for uploaded videos, not a camera broadcast. See StreamNeo or check copyright considerations, then start the free first day.
