For a PC-based 4K 60fps YouTube Live stream, the Zotac GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB is a defensible choice if you can verify the exact card at or below ₹50,000. NVIDIA’s OBS guidance recommends Hardware (NVENC, AV1) for YouTube on an RTX 40 Series GPU, and an India price comparison listed an RTX 4060 Ti 8GB at ₹49,990. That evidence makes it a practical candidate—not a proven image-quality winner over competing cards.

YouTube’s recommended 4K60 bitrate is 35 Mbps for AV1 or H.265, or 50 Mbps for H.264. A capable GPU cannot compensate for an inadequate upload connection, unsuitable source video, or unstable PC workload. Also, “playlist” could mean either a sequence of prerecorded videos or simply the stream’s content; the card recommendation here concerns encoding a live video signal, not playlist scheduling.

Which card should you choose?

Choose the Zotac GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB if the exact model is in stock within budget and it suits your PC. GPU PRIX listed an RTX 4060 Ti 8GB at ₹49,990 on Amazon India on October 3, 2026. PcPaisa showed Zotac RTX 4060 Ti 8GB variants at ₹50,000 when accessed that day. These are dated price snapshots, not guaranteed delivered prices; check the precise SKU, seller, stock, shipping and final checkout price.

The reason to favor the RTX option is specific: NVIDIA’s OBS guidance recommends the Hardware (NVENC, AV1) encoder for YouTube when using an RTX 40 Series GPU. That does not establish superior image quality or encoding performance versus AMD cards in every software configuration. No like-for-like encoder test is available here.

Codec selection in your software, current listing, encoder quality and stability, GPU-rendering needs, support and compatibility. The available evidence does not establish a like-for-like encoding winner.

Compare cards against the software you will actually stream with, not gaming benchmarks alone. Consider whether the GPU can sustain encoding alongside your other GPU work, and check your PC’s power supply and case dimensions before ordering. Prices and availability can vary by seller and location.

YouTube’s 4K60 encoding settings

YouTube Help lists RTMP/RTMPS ingest, H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1 video, and frame rates up to 60 fps. For 4K/2160p60, its recommended bitrate is 35 Mbps for AV1 or H.265 and 50 Mbps for H.264. YouTube specifies constant bitrate (CBR) and recommends a two-second keyframe frequency, which should not exceed four seconds.

  • Codec: For SDR, AV1 is an option if your encoder and streaming software support it. YouTube’s documented HDR guidance does not support AV1 and recommends H.265/HEVC instead.
  • Bitrate: Use the recommendation for the codec you select: 35 Mbps for AV1/H.265 or 50 Mbps for H.264 at 4K60. Your upload must sustain the chosen bitrate reliably; a GPU upgrade does not increase internet upload capacity.
  • Rate control: Set CBR.
  • Keyframes: Set a two-second interval; do not exceed four seconds.
  • Connection: YouTube recommends RTMPS, the secure extension to RTMP. Its Help page states, “We recommend streaming to YouTube Live with RTMPS, a secure extension to the popular RTMP video streaming protocol.”
  • Color: YouTube specifies Rec. 709 and 8-bit for SDR. If you need HDR, follow its H.265/HEVC guidance rather than assuming the SDR AV1 recommendation applies.

These are platform ingest recommendations, not a guarantee that a particular PC, network, or software setup will deliver a stable 4K60 broadcast. Confirm the input itself is 4K60 and monitor the stream for dropped frames and connection warnings.

Before buying: check the whole 4K60 path

  • Source: A prerecorded playlist’s files need to be 4K60 for the output to carry that resolution and frame rate. Encoding cannot restore detail or frames missing from the source.
  • Software: Confirm the streaming application exposes the intended hardware encoder and codec. For OBS with an RTX 40 Series card, NVIDIA recommends Hardware (NVENC, AV1) for YouTube.
  • Network: Confirm stable upload capacity for the chosen bitrate, with headroom for normal network variation. A nominal connection speed alone does not guarantee stable ingest.
  • PC fit: Check the exact card’s power and physical requirements and account for other GPU workloads that will run during the broadcast.
  • Stream configuration: Use the matching YouTube stream key and ingest settings, and keep the key private. Set CBR and the recommended keyframe interval.

If “playlist” means unattended, continuous playback

A graphics card only addresses encoding on the PC that is producing the live signal. It does not itself schedule or loop prerecorded videos, keep a home computer running, or restart a broadcast after a dropped connection. For a DIY setup, configure your chosen playback and streaming software to output the playlist, select the GPU encoder, apply YouTube’s codec and bitrate settings above, connect using the stream key, and verify playback and stream health before relying on it unattended. The available information does not specify a particular playlist player or scheduling workflow, so the exact controls depend on your software.

Common problems and what to check

The stream will not hold 4K60

Check that the source is actually 4K60, that the software output is configured for 2160p at 60 fps, and that the PC can sustain encoding alongside other work. Check YouTube’s stream-health warnings and whether upload capacity remains stable at the selected bitrate.

YouTube reports connection instability or dropped frames

Check the wired or wireless network path and available upload capacity, then confirm CBR, the selected codec’s recommended bitrate, RTMPS ingest and a two-second keyframe interval. A supported GPU cannot correct packet loss or an unstable connection.

The expected AV1 option is missing

Verify that the streaming software is using the RTX 40 Series hardware encoder and that the software version and configuration expose NVENC AV1. If the broadcast is HDR, YouTube’s documented guidance points to H.265/HEVC because AV1 is not supported there.
