Thumbalizr supports full-page screenshots on eligible memberships and a post-load delay, but its official documentation does not say that it scrolls a page to trigger content that loads only when you scroll. A full-page image can therefore include the full document extent without proving that every scroll-triggered image, feed item, or section was loaded.
What Thumbalizr documents
Thumbalizr’s API provides a size setting for page or screen. The free plan is described as screen-only; full-page output is available on eligible paid memberships. Its delay setting waits after the page has loaded and accepts 1–30 seconds. The API table lists five-second defaults for Free and Silver, while Gold and Platinum offer a custom delay. See the Thumbalizr API documentation and plan summary.
Those settings address screenshot extent and time spent waiting after load. The reviewed documentation does not describe automatic scrolling, scroll-event simulation, waiting for a particular selector, or a stopping rule for feeds that append items as you scroll. Thumbalizr’s features and pricing page also lists plan-dependent full-page output and browser dimensions, but does not establish scroll-trigger behavior.
Why full-page capture may still miss scroll-loaded content
A full-page screenshot concerns how much of the document is captured, not necessarily how the page was made to render before capture. Playwright describes a full-page screenshot as capturing “the viewport, a specific element, or the full scrollable page.” That definition does not itself promise that the page is scrolled first. Chrome for Developers notes that lazy-loaded images may load as a user scrolls toward them. See Playwright’s screenshots documentation and Chrome’s image component guidance.

Pages can also behave differently: images may load near the viewport, a feed may fetch more entries after a scroll event, a nested panel may have its own scroll area, or an interaction may reveal hidden sections. The available Thumbalizr documentation does not specify how its capture engine handles these cases. So the accurate answer is conditional: it may capture content that is already present, but its documented full-page and delay options do not guarantee that scroll-dependent content will be triggered.
How to test a Thumbalizr capture
- Confirm the membership supports full-page output. The free plan is described as screen-sized only; select
size=pageonly when your membership allows it. Check the API documentation for the setting and membership details. - Set a post-load delay if ordinary resources need time. Use the documented delay range of 1–30 seconds where your plan permits a custom value. Waiting can help resources that are still loading, but it does not substitute for scrolling the page.
- Capture the exact target page and inspect the relevant area. Check the lower sections for both text and images, and verify feed items or other dynamic content. A tall output alone does not prove those elements were fetched.
- Repeat if the page is dynamic. Compare captures at the same settings, since timing and the target page’s own behavior can affect what is visible.
When to use a different capture workflow
If scroll-only content must appear consistently, choose a browser automation or screenshot workflow that explicitly documents scrolling through the page or the relevant container, waiting for expected content, and defining when to stop on an infinite feed. For nested scroll areas, verify that the workflow can target that container rather than only the main document. The Thumbalizr sources cited above establish full-page extent, delay, and plan-dependent browser settings, but not those scroll controls.

When evaluating a workflow, check whether it can:
- Scroll the document or a specified nested container.
- Wait for a selector or another concrete readiness condition, not only an arbitrary delay.
- Handle content appended after scrolling and stop at a defined point.
- Set the viewport and browser dimensions appropriate to the page.

ScreenshotNeo offers a one-request screenshot API, including full-page capture with lazy images loaded. For example, this cURL request saves a WebP screenshot of Stripe:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for API options. Before capture, it accepts cookie or consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each of those steps can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents, including Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.
