html.to.design is a Figma plugin and companion browser extension that its publisher says imports webpages into editable Figma designs. For an Indian freelance UI designer, the main practical questions are whether its import workflow fits the pages you need, whether the Free allowance is enough, and how you can pay for Pro: the publisher says Figma cannot accept Indian-based credit cards for a direct Pro purchase and recommends a one-user Teams license instead. The feature and quality descriptions below reflect publisher documentation; they have not been independently tested here.
What html.to.design does
According to its publisher, html.to.design converts website pages into editable Figma designs. The intended use is to start redesigns, iterations, and benchmarking from an existing webpage rather than recreate every element from scratch. “Editable” describes the product’s positioning; it does not by itself establish how accurately a particular page imports or how its layers will be organized.
The documented workflow is to enter a URL, choose viewport and theme options, and import the result into Figma. A browser extension provides another route for pages behind a login, on a private network, or in a particular browser state. The publisher also lists bulk page imports as a Pro feature. See what html.to.design is and how it works.
Which documented features may matter for freelance work?
The feature list is useful as a checklist for evaluating fit, not as proof that every site will import cleanly. The publisher lists:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →#1 Best Overall
- Importing a page from a URL, plus browser-extension capture for private or local pages.
- Multiple viewport sizes, fixed and sticky scrolling support, and hover effects imported as components.
- For Pro, higher-resolution images when available, bulk imports, and a re-import shortcut.
Those Pro features may be relevant if a project involves repeated imports or several pages, but the documentation does not quantify any time saved. Before relying on an import for client work, inspect the typography, images, layout, and responsive states against the live page. The publisher’s full feature documentation is at html.to.design’s free-features page; Pro features are listed at the Pro plan page.
Plans, import limits, and listed prices
The publisher’s plan documentation, accessed October 3, 2026, lists these prices and limits. Prices may change.
Rank #2
| Plan | Listed price | Documented import allowance or features |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Up to 10 imports every 30 days. |
| Pro, billed monthly | $18 per user/month | Free features plus higher-resolution images when available, bulk imports, a re-import shortcut, and premium support; subject to fair use, with 1,000 imports/month stated for typical individual use. |
| Pro, billed annually | $12 per user/month | Same listed Pro features and stated fair-use limit; price is billed annually. |
Although Pro is described as offering “unlimited imports,” the same plan documentation qualifies that wording with fair use and specifies 1,000 imports per month for typical individual use. It directs mass-import users to the code.to.design API or support contact. Do not treat the headline wording as permission for unrestricted scraping or automated capture.
What Indian freelancers should check before paying
The official plan page states: “Figma is unable to accept Indian or Russian-based credit cards at this time.” It advises affected customers to obtain a Pro for Teams license for a single user. This is the publisher’s stated payment guidance, not a guarantee that a particular card or route will work.

The cited page does not establish current INR pricing, applicable taxes, or whether another payment route will accept an individual Indian freelancer’s card. Confirm the available checkout route and total cost before budgeting or promising a paid workflow to a client. The plan details and caveat are on the official Pro plan page.
Volume and terms: keep imports within the documented use
The terms say bots, scripting, and other forms of mass import are not permitted. That restriction matters if you are considering using the tool to capture many competitor pages or automate a repeatable client workflow. Treat ordinary documented imports separately from mass scraping, and review the current html.to.design terms before planning high-volume use; terms can change.

How to decide whether it fits your project
Use the following checks to decide whether to try the Free plan, investigate Pro, or choose another workflow. They reflect the documented feature set and plan terms, not a ranked comparison with alternatives.
- Page access: For a public page, the documented URL-import route may fit. For private, local, or browser-state-specific pages, check whether the companion extension covers your situation.
- Output needs: If you need multiple viewport states, fixed or sticky behavior, or hover states, these are among the publisher-listed features. Verify the imported Figma file against the source page before using it as a design specification.
- Expected volume: The Free plan allows up to 10 imports every 30 days. Pro’s stated fair-use limit is 1,000 per month for typical individual use; automated or mass imports conflict with the terms.
- Payment route: If you need Pro, confirm the one-user Teams option and your actual checkout cost rather than assuming a direct individual card payment will work.
What the public listing can—and cannot—tell you
When accessed on October 3, 2026, the Chrome Web Store listing displayed 700,000 users and a 4.6 rating from 137 ratings. These are dated marketplace figures, not evidence of import fidelity or satisfaction among Indian freelance UI designers. Google notes that ratings update daily and may not reflect the most recent reviews. See the Chrome Web Store listing for its current display.

No independent test results are established here for pixel accuracy, layer preservation, or time saved. To assess those points for your work, import a representative page and inspect its text, imagery, layout, and responsive states in Figma before depending on the result.

If your immediate need is a clean screenshot for a reference board rather than an editable Figma reconstruction, ScreenshotNeo is a separate website screenshot API and MCP server for developers. It does not replace html.to.design’s documented webpage-to-Figma workflow; it is an alternative to try first when the deliverable is a screenshot.

One GET request returns a screenshot; this cURL example saves a WebP image. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options.
Quick Recap
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
ScreenshotNeo accepts cookie or consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server offers take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf for AI agents and other MCP clients. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card required; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. Sign up for ScreenshotNeo free: 1,000 screenshots a month, no card.
