If your Screenshot.rocks capture shows only the part of the page visible on screen, use your browser’s full-page screenshot feature instead. In Chrome, open DevTools, press Ctrl+Shift+P (Mac: Command+Shift+P), search for “screenshot,” and select Capture full size screenshot. The browser saves a PNG. Screenshot.rocks’ extension captures the visible tab, not the entire page.
Why the Screenshot.rocks image is cut off
A regular screenshot records the browser viewport—the portion of the page currently visible. A full-page capture is a different mode that attempts to include the document from top to bottom. Screenshot.rocks says its extension captures only the visible tab, so use a browser’s built-in full-page command when you need the whole page. The extension can still be useful for editing a viewport screenshot, such as cropping or adding a frame.
Capture a full page in Chrome
- Open the page you want to capture.
- Open Chrome DevTools by pressing F12. On Mac, press Command+Option+I.
- Open the Command Menu with Ctrl+Shift+P. On Mac, press Command+Shift+P.
- Type screenshot and select Capture full size screenshot.
Chrome saves the image as a PNG in Downloads. If images lower on the page are blank, scroll down to the bottom and back to the top before capturing; some sites load images only as you scroll.
Other desktop browser methods
| Browser | How to capture | Result or note |
|---|---|---|
| Firefox | Right-click an empty area of the page or press Ctrl+Shift+S (Mac: Command+Shift+S), then choose Save full page. | You can download or copy the result. Firefox also supports the Web Console command :screenshot --fullpage and a DevTools screenshot button. |
| Microsoft Edge | Press Ctrl+Shift+S or open the three-dot menu, choose Screenshot, then Capture full page. | Use the full-page option rather than a viewport-only screenshot. |
| Safari on Mac | Enable web developer features, open Web Inspector, find the <html> element in Elements, right-click it, and choose Capture Screenshot. |
This route requires developer features to be enabled. |
Browser menus and labels can change. If a shortcut differs in your browser version, look for the equivalent full-page or full-size capture command.

Android
Android scrolling screenshot controls vary by device maker. The option may be labeled Capture more; Samsung commonly calls it Scroll capture. Follow the on-screen control to extend the capture down the page.

Fix common full-page capture problems
- Only the visible screen was saved: choose the browser’s full-page command, not Screenshot.rocks’ visible-tab extension.
- Images are blank or missing: scroll slowly to the bottom and back up so scroll-triggered images can load, then capture again.
- A cookie banner or sticky header covers content: dismiss the banner first. If an unwanted element remains, Screenshot.rocks’ guide suggests selecting it in DevTools’ Elements panel and pressing Delete. This removes it from the page until you reload.
- The text looks blurry: in Chrome DevTools device mode, add the device pixel ratio setting and set DPR to 2, then capture again. This can improve results but is not guaranteed to suit every display or browser.
- The capture fails or ends early on a very tall page: a browser may hit its maximum single-image height. Capture the page in sections or capture only the portion you need.
Or skip the browser setup
For automated captures, ScreenshotNeo returns a screenshot or PDF through one API request. Its clean-shot options accept consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, failed loads, timeouts, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. An MCP server provides screenshot tools for Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. The free plan includes 1,000 shots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots.
