Capture a public page with Screenshot.rocks
- Open the Screenshot.rocks editor.
- Under Or capture a website, enter the website address.
- Select Mobile, then click Capture.
- Choose a background and export the image. The capture opens in an iPhone frame.
Screenshot.rocks describes this mobile profile as 375 × 812 points at 3× pixel density, producing a 1125 × 2436-pixel image. Its guide calls it the size of an iPhone X. Treat those figures as the service’s fixed capture profile, not as a menu of arbitrary real-device models. The URL capture is free and does not require an account, according to the service’s guide.
Choose between a viewport screenshot and a full-page screenshot
A mobile viewport screenshot captures only what fits on screen at the selected dimensions. It is useful for showing a page’s initial mobile presentation. It does not include content farther down the page. If you need the entire scrolling page, use browser developer tools instead.
Capture a mobile viewport or full page in Chrome or Edge
Chrome or Edge DevTools is the better option when the page requires your existing login, is available only on your local network, or needs a full-page capture. Since the browser loads the page in your own session, it can reach pages the online capture cannot.

- Open the page in Chrome or Edge, then open DevTools with F12 or, on Mac, ⌘+⌥+I.
- Turn on the device toolbar with Ctrl+Shift+M on Windows or ⌘+⇧+M on Mac.
- Choose a phone preset or enter a custom width. Reload the page after setting the dimensions so the site can respond to the mobile viewport.
- Open the device toolbar’s more-options menu. Choose Capture screenshot for the visible viewport or Capture full size screenshot for the whole page.
Chrome’s documentation distinguishes viewport capture from full-size capture. For a custom width, Screenshot.rocks advises setting device pixel ratio to 2 or 3 if the exported image looks blurry. Device emulation approximates a mobile viewport; it does not guarantee the exact appearance of a physical handset.

Fix common capture problems
- The online capture cannot reach the page: it cannot access pages behind a login, local addresses such as
localhost, or pages that block automated browsers. Open the page in Chrome or Edge and capture it with DevTools. - The site still looks like its desktop layout: reload after choosing mobile dimensions. Some sites check viewport conditions when the page loads.
- A custom-width capture looks blurry: in Chrome DevTools, set the device pixel ratio to 2 or 3, as Screenshot.rocks advises.
- A cookie banner or app-install prompt obscures the content: dismiss it before capturing, then check whether dark mode or a different page position is more appropriate for the image.
- The screenshot is missing lower-page content: use Capture full size screenshot in Chrome or Edge DevTools. Screenshot.rocks’ online capture shows only the first screen.
