You can create a continuous Marathi lofi radio feed by looping rights-cleared audio and visuals through FFmpeg, then sending the encoded output to YouTube Live. FFmpeg can repeat media and reconnect in some circumstances, but it does not by itself guarantee an uninterrupted broadcast: you also need suitable upload capacity, a recovery plan, and a YouTube session strategy.

Before you build the stream: clear the music and visuals

Use Marathi lofi tracks and visuals that you have created or are authorized to use for the intended YouTube livestream, territories, duration, and monetization. Keep the licenses and track-level permissions available, including evidence of any Content ID allowlisting the rights holder requires.

YouTube says live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted material. A detected match can replace the live picture with a placeholder and may interrupt or terminate the stream if the content remains. A license alone may not prevent interruption when the channel is not on the rights owner’s allowlist. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.

Create the YouTube Live event and protect its key

  1. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create a new stream or schedule one. A scheduled stream can provide a watch-page URL and let viewers set a reminder.
  2. Copy the current stream URL and stream key from the encoder setup. The key functions like an address/password combination for your encoder; do not share or publish it. You can manage stream settings and custom keys in Live Control Room.
  3. Set the event’s title, description, visibility, and other metadata. Confirm the intended visibility before the broadcast.
  4. Use the ingest URL currently shown in Live Control Room rather than relying on an old or copied URL. YouTube’s setup instructions are at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder; settings management is covered at Manage live stream settings.

Prepare the audio and visual loop

The simplest arrangement is a single file containing both the visuals and the audio. It is easier to map and synchronize, but the visual and music repeat together. With separate inputs, you can change the visual independently, but you must map both streams correctly and check synchronization and loop joins using your actual files.

  • Listen across the loop boundary for clicks, silence, abrupt cuts, or a sudden change in loudness. Check visual transitions as well.
  • Keep a copy of the exact media and permissions used for the broadcast. Changes to the playlist or assets can change both rights obligations and loop behavior.

Build the FFmpeg command

This command shows the structure for one file that already contains both audio and video. Replace the input path, ingest URL, and key with your own values. It is illustrative, not a tested universal command; verify options against your installed FFmpeg build and test privately before broadcasting.

ffmpeg -re -stream_loop -1 -i visual.mp4
  -map 0:v:0 -map 0:a:0
  -c:v libx264 -pix_fmt yuv420p -preset veryfast
  -r 30 -g 60 -b:v 2500k -maxrate 2500k -bufsize 5000k
  -c:a aac -b:a 128k -ar 44100
  -f flv "rtmps://YOUR_YOUTUBE_INGEST/YOUR_STREAM_KEY"

FFmpeg’s -re reads a file at its native rate, equivalent to -readrate 1, which is useful for simulating a live source from a file. -stream_loop -1 loops an input indefinitely. These are input options, so they belong before the corresponding -i; output options such as codecs, mapping, bitrate, and format belong before the output URL. FFmpeg notes that options generally apply to the next specified file: FFmpeg command-line documentation.

Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen USB-C Audio Interface
  • The new generation of the songwriter's interface: Plug in your mic and guitar and let Scarlett Solo 4th Gen bring big studio sound to wherever you make music
  • Studio-quality sound: With a huge 120dB dynamic range, the newest generation of Scarlett uses the same converters as Focusrite’s flagship interfaces, found in the world's biggest studios
  • Find your signature sound: Scarlett 4th Gen's improved Air mode lifts vocals and guitars to the front of the mix, adding musical presence and rich harmonic drive to your recordings
  • All you need to record, mix and master your music: Includes industry-leading recording software and a full collection of record-making plugins
  • Everything in the box: Includes Pro Tools Intro+, Ableton Live Lite, Cubase LE, and Hitmaker Expansion: a suite of essential effects, powerful software instruments, and easy-to-use mastering tools

The example assumes the one input includes audio. If music is a separate file, add another input with its own input options before its -i, then map the intended streams explicitly—for example, video from one input and audio from the other. Make sure any looping inputs remain aligned and test for drift or abrupt transitions. Do not assume that adding a loop flag alone creates a seamless playlist.

Choose resolution, frame rate, and bitrate

Use YouTube’s current encoder table for the resolution and frame rate you plan to send. Its H.264 recommendations include 3 Mbps for 480p at 30 fps, 6 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps, and 14 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps. These are recommendations, not guarantees that a particular connection or encoder can sustain the rate.

  • PLUG IN AND HEAR SOUND IN SECONDS - USB Type-A connector with a 3.5mm stereo headphone output and a separate 3.5mm mono microphone input. No drivers, no software, no external power - the adapter is USB bus-powered and is recognized as a standard USB audio device.
  • WORKS ON WINDOWS, MAC AND LINUX - Driverless on Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista/7/8, Linux and Mac OSX, and compliant with the USB Audio Device Class 1.0 specification, so any system that supports class-compliant USB audio will see it. Select it as the sound output and input device after plugging it in.
  • TWO JACKS, TWO JOBS - The green jack is stereo OUT for headphones or powered speakers; the pink jack is mono microphone IN for a 3.5mm mic. It does NOT support 4-pole headsets on a single combo plug, it does NOT power passive speakers, and it does NOT add surround sound - it is a stereo 2-channel adapter.
  • FOR LAPTOPS AND DESKTOPS THAT NEED AN AUDIO PORT BACK - Adds a headphone and mic port to a laptop, desktop, or mini PC whose onboard jack has failed or was never there. Managed and work-issued computers can block new USB audio devices by policy - check with your IT department before ordering for a company machine.
  • SABRENT SUPPORT AND WARRANTY - What is in the box: one USB audio sound adapter. Backed by a 1-year limited warranty, extended to 2 years when you register within 90 days on the manufacturer's website.
Setting Practical starting point
Video codec and transport H.264 over RTMP or RTMPS; YouTube recommends RTMPS for encrypted ingestion.
Video bitrate Choose from YouTube’s resolution- and frame-rate-specific table; examples at 30 fps are 3 Mbps (480p), 6 Mbps (720p), and 14 Mbps (1080p).
Rate control CBR, as recommended by YouTube.
Keyframe interval Two seconds recommended; do not exceed four seconds. At 30 fps, a two-second GOP corresponds to 60 frames.
Audio YouTube’s RTMP/RTMPS guidance recommends 128 kbps stereo AAC and a 44.1 kHz stereo sample rate.
Frame rate YouTube supports rates up to 60 fps; choose a rate your source, encoder, and network can sustain.

The sample command’s 2,500 kbps video setting is only an example, not the recommended value for every resolution. In particular, replace it if it does not match YouTube’s table for your chosen output. Run an upload-speed test and leave headroom for other network use; a measured connection does not guarantee consistent performance during a long broadcast. YouTube automatically transcodes the incoming feed into viewing formats. See YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrate, and resolution guidance.

Test, start, and monitor the broadcast

  1. Start FFmpeg and wait for the feed to appear in Live Control Room preview.
  2. Check the preview for correct video, aspect ratio, audio level, synchronization, and loop transitions. Test with media and motion similar to the planned broadcast; YouTube specifically recommends testing representative audio and movement.
  3. Use Live Control Room’s controls to start the event when the preview and stream health look right. Check the public watch page from a viewer’s perspective.
  4. Monitor stream health and messages during the broadcast. Keep FFmpeg logs and a written operator procedure for stopping and restarting the encoder.

YouTube’s practical guidance is available at YouTube live streaming tips. No particular media file, FFmpeg build, network, or channel has been tested here, so run your own end-to-end rehearsal before relying on the setup.

Plan for failures and YouTube session boundaries

FFmpeg documents a FIFO muxer recovery mode for temporary network failures, and some protocols expose reconnection options. Protocol support and behavior vary; reconnecting an input source is not the same as successfully reconnecting an output to YouTube. These options are not an end-to-end guarantee. Consult FFmpeg’s full documentation and its protocol documentation for the options supported by your output protocol.

For a continuous service, decide who or what will notice a failure and how the encoder will be restarted. A supervised process, a stable hosted machine, a backup internet connection, and human alerts are possible operational choices—not guarantees of uptime. Rehearse a dropped-connection recovery, confirm the feed returns in Live Control Room, and check whether the event needs to be started again.

YouTube’s encoder setup guide says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not establish that one archived stream will cover an indefinite 24/7 broadcast. Plan how you will handle session boundaries, archives, and new events, and verify current Live Control Room behavior before deployment.

Run FFmpeg yourself or use a cloud service?

Running FFmpeg locally gives you direct control, but the computer and internet connection must remain available, and you need a way to detect and recover failures. A hosted machine can separate the encoder from your home computer, but you still have to configure and operate that environment. FFmpeg remains a hands-on setup either way.

Or let it run in the cloud

StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home. It supports uploaded media as-is up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card; monthly billing is $9.99 per month. It streams to YouTube only and plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting from a camera. See StreamNeo pricing for available billing periods. Start your free StreamNeo day.
