For a readable personal record, print the DigiLocker page to PDF: in Chrome on a computer, open the page, press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux or Command+P on Mac, choose Save as PDF, inspect the preview, and save. On Android Chrome, use More > Share > Print, then choose Save as PDF. A saved webpage or screenshot may suit a different purpose, but none of these captures is the DigiLocker-issued document itself.
Save a DigiLocker webpage as a PDF on a computer
- Open the DigiLocker page you want to keep in Chrome. If it is an account page, sign in as needed and bring the relevant information into view.
- Open the print dialog with Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+P on Mac.
- In the destination selector, choose Save as PDF.
- Check the print preview to see whether the text and page sections you need appear. Choose the available print settings that suit the page, then save the PDF to a location you can find.
- Open the saved PDF and verify that it contains the information you intended to record.
Print preview is worth checking: a logged-in page may not lay out on paper exactly as it appears in the browser. If the needed information is missing, the PDF is not a complete record of it.
Save a DigiLocker webpage as a PDF on Android
- Open the page in Chrome and wait for the information you need to appear.
- Tap More > Share > Print.
- In the print interface, select Save as PDF, choose where to save the file, and save it.
- Open the PDF and check that the required content is present.

Choose the right kind of record

Chrome’s desktop help documents both printing and the separate More > More tools > Save page as workflow: Chrome Help. Choose the PDF route for a straightforward personal record; use a saved webpage if you specifically need an offline page copy.

A webpage capture is not the issued DigiLocker document
DigiLocker describes its platform as a secure cloud-based service for storing, sharing, and verifying documents and certificates. A PDF or screenshot of its website records what the page displayed; it should not be described as the certificate fetched or issued through DigiLocker. If you need to retain a certificate, use the document-specific download or fetch option when available and keep that file separately from the webpage capture. A screenshot or browser-generated PDF is not established by these sources as legally equivalent to an issued electronic document, nor is its acceptance guaranteed. If you are preparing a formal submission to a school, employer, bank, or government office, check the recipient’s requirements and provide the specific document or format it requests.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will a DigiLocker webpage PDF be accepted instead of my certificate?
Acceptance depends on the receiving organization and what it specifically requests. Check its requirements; a webpage printout is not the same as the document fetched or issued through DigiLocker.

Can I save the DigiLocker page itself for offline viewing?
On desktop Chrome, choose More > More tools > Save page as. This creates a webpage copy rather than a paginated PDF.
