To stream several prerecorded videos as one YouTube broadcast in OneStream Live, connect your YouTube channel, open Pre-recorded Stream, add the files, select YouTube, enter the stream details, and schedule the broadcast. OneStream queues the selected videos in sequence. Playlist streaming is available on Professional and Enterprise, not Free, according to OneStream’s Help Center instructions updated September 10, 2026.
Before you start
- Connect the YouTube account and channel you want to use in OneStream Live.
- Have the prerecorded video files ready on your device, in OneStream’s OSL Storage, or in a supported cloud source such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Confirm that your OneStream plan supports playlists. OneStream lists Professional and Enterprise as eligible; its Free-plan limitations say playlist creation and streaming are unavailable. Plan details can change, so check your account if the options differ.
- For a new or not recently used YouTube channel, Google/YouTube’s Live Streaming Guide advises enabling Live at least 24 hours beforehand and verifying the account. Treat that as channel-readiness guidance, not a complete list of current eligibility requirements.
Connect your YouTube channel to OneStream Live
- In the OneStream Live dashboard, open Social Platforms.
- Choose Add Platform, or choose Connect beside YouTube if that option is shown.
- Select YouTube, choose the account and channel category, and complete the connection flow.
- Return to Social Platforms and confirm that the YouTube account appears as connected. OneStream’s YouTube setup guide documents this connection flow.
Create a scheduled stream from multiple files
- In the dashboard, open Pre-recorded Stream and choose Add Videos.
- Select the files you want in the broadcast. OneStream’s Pre-Recorded Streaming instructions say videos can be selected from your device, OSL Storage, or cloud storage such as Google Drive or Dropbox. Add the files in the sequence you want them to play, then continue.
- Select YouTube as the destination and continue.
- Enter the stream details requested in the dashboard, then schedule the broadcast for the intended time.
- Review the selected files, destination, details, and scheduled time before submitting. The playlist is presented as one live broadcast, with the selected videos queued back-to-back.
OneStream documents the queue as videos playing back-to-back as a single broadcast. Its instructions do not establish a per-file transition editor or guarantee gapless transitions in every situation, so do not assume either behavior.
Check YouTube readiness and plan the viewing experience
Before the scheduled broadcast, privately test the complete setup in YouTube Studio if possible. Google/YouTube’s guide also recommends scheduling the stream. These are preparation suggestions; they are not additional OneStream setup requirements.
- Check that your channel can go live and that the selected destination is the intended channel.
- Review the video files and their order, and confirm that you have rights to stream their audio and video. YouTube’s copyright rules apply to prerecorded material just as they do to other uploads and broadcasts.
- If viewers should be able to watch afterward, consider publishing the archive for on-demand viewing and organizing it in a live archive playlist. These are audience-planning suggestions, not prerequisites for making the OneStream playlist.
Scheduled playlist or continuous 24-hour stream?
Choose the workflow by the kind of broadcast you need. A scheduled playlist is for a particular program made from multiple files; OneStream documents playlist access on Professional and Enterprise. Its separate 24-hour Stream feature is for continuous YouTube streaming, is listed as Enterprise-only, and has a documented maximum duration of 30 days. That 30-day maximum is a OneStream feature limit, not a general YouTube limit. See OneStream’s 24/7 streaming instructions.

OneStream’s Free-plan page, updated August 24, 2026, lists a 15-minute duration for prerecorded live streams, a maximum resolution of 720p, and 1 GB of uploaded video/media storage, in addition to the playlist restriction. Check the current plan details in your account before choosing a plan, since these limits may change.
Troubleshooting
YouTube is missing as a destination
Return to Social Platforms and connect the intended YouTube account. If you have more than one account or channel, verify that you selected the correct one during connection.

The playlist option is unavailable
Check your plan: OneStream documents playlist creation and streaming for Professional and Enterprise, not Free. If you believe your plan qualifies, confirm the account and interface are current or contact OneStream support.
A video is missing from the selection
Check whether the file is available in the selected source—your device, OSL Storage, Google Drive, or Dropbox—and select it again from Add Videos. The documented workflow supports these sources; it does not establish that every file or cloud-storage configuration will be accepted.

The videos do not play in the intended order
Recheck the selected sequence before continuing and scheduling. OneStream’s instructions describe files as queued in sequence; they do not document a separate transition editor.
The channel is not ready to go live
Check YouTube Studio and the account’s live-streaming eligibility. Google/YouTube’s guide recommends account verification and enabling Live at least 24 hours in advance; if you have just enabled access, allow for that lead time before the planned event.
