For scheduled prerecorded YouTube broadcasts, both OneStream Live and Restream document ways to queue a video or playlist and stream it while you are offline. For a specifically documented continuous YouTube stream, OneStream requires Enterprise and limits each configured run to 30 days; Restream documents replaying a scheduled video up to 10 times, which is not the same as 24/7 streaming. If you want a cloud service built around keeping an uploaded-video YouTube stream running, StreamNeo is the first alternative to consider: it runs from the cloud at one flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps, with a free first day.
What each service is best suited for
| Service | Best fit | Key qualification |
|---|---|---|
| OneStream Live | Advance-scheduled prerecorded streams, playlists, or a documented continuous YouTube stream. | Its 24/7 YouTube option requires Enterprise and has a 30-day maximum duration per configured stream. OneStream’s 24/7 documentation |
| Restream | Scheduled individual prerecorded events or playlists, including when the creator is offline. | The documented replay setting allows up to 10 replays; the reviewed documentation does not establish a continuous 24/7 feature. Restream’s Upload & Stream documentation |
| StreamNeo | Always-on YouTube streaming from uploaded videos, managed in the cloud. | One flat price per slot for uploaded video up to 4K 60fps; the first day is free with no card. It streams to YouTube only. StreamNeo |
Choose OneStream if its Enterprise requirement and 30-day configured duration suit your continuous-stream schedule. Choose Restream for scheduled single events or playlists if the relevant upload, resolution, storage, and add-on terms fit. Consider StreamNeo when the main need is an ongoing YouTube loop without a computer left running.
How OneStream Live handles prerecorded streams
Scheduling a video or playlist
OneStream’s documented workflow is to select Pre-recorded Stream, add a video from your device, OneStream storage, or supported cloud storage, choose destinations, enter stream details, and schedule the broadcast. It supports scheduling up to 60 days in advance and queuing multiple videos as a playlist. Advanced scheduling is available on Standard and higher-tier plans. See the OneStream prerecorded-stream guide.
YouTube-specific controls and limits
For YouTube, OneStream documents optional controls to enable DVR, mark a stream as made for kids, and enable monetization where supported by the channel. These settings do not guarantee that a channel is eligible for monetization; YouTube’s own channel and policy requirements still apply. OneStream’s guide

How Restream handles prerecorded streams
Upload, import, schedule, or replay
Restream calls its workflow Upload & Stream. You can upload a video or import one from Descript, Google Drive, or Dropbox, then schedule it as a prerecorded event. It also supports playlists. Its replay option can repeat a scheduled video up to 10 times; that finite replay setting should not be treated as continuous 24/7 service. Restream’s Upload & Stream guide

YouTube channel activation and archives
Your YouTube channel must have live streaming enabled. Restream’s YouTube help page says first-time activation requires phone verification and a 24-hour wait. YouTube archives a stream only if it is under 12 hours; this is a YouTube-side archive condition, not a Restream plan limit. Restream’s YouTube setup guidance
Which service should you choose?
Choose OneStream for its documented 24/7 mode
OneStream is the stronger documented choice between these two if continuous YouTube streaming is essential and Enterprise is acceptable. Its help material describes a YouTube-only 24/7 mode, but each configured stream can run for a maximum of 30 days. Plan how you will renew or reconfigure the stream rather than assuming one setup runs indefinitely. OneStream’s 24/7 documentation

What to check before scheduling a prerecorded YouTube stream
- Schedule shape: Decide whether you need one scheduled broadcast, a playlist, finite repeats, or a continuing loop. A replay count and a documented 24/7 mode are different capabilities.
- Duration: Check the length of each video and the total playlist. Confirm the service’s applicable limits rather than inferring an individual-file limit from a library allowance.
- Plan and destination: Confirm the required tier or add-on, resolution, storage, destination count, and whether the feature is specifically supported for YouTube.
- YouTube readiness: Enable live streaming on the channel in advance; a first-time activation may involve phone verification and a 24-hour wait.
- Rights and policy: Use video, music, and other material you have rights to stream. Scheduling software does not grant copyright permission or bypass YouTube’s policies. Check YouTube’s current rules and the service’s content settings before broadcasting.
- Archive expectations: If you need a YouTube archive, account for YouTube’s under-12-hour archive condition; do not assume the third-party service controls this platform-side behavior.
- Operational changes: Preview the selected file and playlist order, confirm stream title and audience settings, and leave time to correct a wrong file or schedule before the event begins.
