Configure the Sub Goal in the Streamlabs Dashboard

Sign in to the Streamlabs Dashboard. In the left navigation, select All Widgets, then choose Sub Goal under Goals.

In Manage Goal, enter a title, target amount, starting amount, and end date. Choose whether the goal tracks subscriber count or sub points. Sub points can account for higher-tier subscriptions that count as multiple points.

Choose the platform in the Platform dropdown. Streamlabs’ guide lists Twitch subscriptions, optional resubs, gifted subscriptions, and Prime Subs; YouTube memberships and gifted memberships; Facebook supports and support gifters; and Kick subscribers. Check the options currently available in your account, since integrations and labels may change.

Set the layout, colors, font, and bar thickness. Use the preview as you customize. Its background is only for preview; the live widget background is transparent.

Optionally customize the widget with HTML/CSS. Streamlabs notes that advanced HTML/CSS changes override other appearance settings.

Save the settings. If you plan to use a Browser Source, copy the widget URL and keep it private: it is the link for your configured goal.

Open the Editor and select the plus button in the Sources panel.

Choose Subscription Goal and add the source.

In the Goal tab, set the title, target, starting amount, and end date, then select Start Goal.

Adjust its appearance in Visual Settings. Use the Source tab for advanced settings, then select Done.
If Dashboard settings already appear, review them and continue through the remaining setup.
OBS Studio: use the Streamlabs plugin

Install the Streamlabs Plugin for OBS and log in.

Open Streamlabs in the top navigation, select Sub Goal, then choose +Add.

Drag and resize the widget source in your scene. To change widget settings, open Settings as directed by the guide.
Menu names can vary by plugin release; Streamlabs’ guide does not specify a version requirement.
OBS Studio or other software: use a Browser Source

Save the widget in the Dashboard and copy its URL.

In your broadcasting software, add a Browser Source and paste the URL.

Position and resize the source in your scene.
Streamlabs documents this URL workflow for software that supports Browser Sources, including OBS Studio and XSplit.

Choose one shared goal or separate platform goals

Streamlabs Desktop’s native Sub Goal source displays only the currently selected widget theme’s goal. Therefore, for simultaneous platform-specific goals, use separate theme URLs as separate Browser Sources and label the sources by platform so they are easy to identify.

The goal counts the wrong events: Reopen the Dashboard’s Platform dropdown and confirm the selected platform and event types. Options differ by platform, and resubs may be optional.

The widget does not show the intended platform goal: Check which theme is selected. The native Streamlabs Desktop source shows the selected theme’s goal; separate goals require separate theme URLs as Browser Sources.

The live widget has no background color: This is expected. The preview background does not appear on stream; the live widget background is transparent.

Appearance controls no longer match the result: Check whether custom HTML/CSS was applied. Streamlabs says advanced HTML/CSS changes override other appearance settings.

The OBS plugin menus differ from the guide: Labels may vary by release. The documented sequence is Streamlabs in the top navigation, Sub Goal, then +Add; the guide does not establish identical menus across every version.

A Browser Source cannot display the configured goal: Confirm that you copied the saved widget URL for the intended theme and pasted it into a Browser Source. Keep the URL private rather than posting it publicly.
