To upload a large YouTube playlist library over Airtel Xstream Fiber, transfer the video files to YouTube in batches, then organize them into playlists in YouTube Studio. A playlist does not import files from your computer, and Airtel’s advertised plan speed does not tell you your actual upload speed. Measure your connection’s upload rate and use the total size of your files to estimate how long the transfer may take.
What you need before starting
Gather the original video files and check that they are accessible on the computer you will use. Make sure the computer has enough free space for the files you plan to upload; you do not need to buy extra storage just to use YouTube Studio.
Check your Airtel plan and connect the computer to your home network. If you use Wi-Fi, run the speed test from the location where you will upload. Airtel’s plans and availability vary by geography, and an advertised plan speed is not a measurement of your upstream throughput. Airtel’s broadband page lists, for example, an offer of up to 100 Mbps at ₹799 per month plus GST, with unlimited data and router and installation benefits; check the page and your account for current local terms. Estimate how long the upload may take
Measure your upload speed at the time and place you expect to transfer the files. Repeat the test if the result varies. Add the sizes of the source files you intend to upload, then estimate using this formula:

Estimated hours = total file size in GB × 8,000 ÷ measured upload speed in Mbps ÷ 3,600
For example, with 100 GB of files and a measured upload rate of 10 Mbps, the idealized estimate is about 22.2 hours. This is a best-case calculation, not a completion promise: actual time can be longer because of busy upload traffic, video quality, file size, or an unstable connection. Upload files and organize them into playlists
- Open YouTube Studio. Sign in to the channel that should own the videos.
- Start an upload. Select Create → Upload videos. YouTube Studio allows you to select up to 15 videos at a time. For a large library, work in manageable batches. YouTube Help: Upload YouTube videos
- Review each video’s details. Check its title and audience setting, and select the intended playlist in the video details. Selecting multiple files starts multiple video uploads; it does not automatically create a playlist from a local folder.
- Choose visibility deliberately. Uploading and publishing are separate actions. YouTube Help explains that uploading imports the video file to YouTube, while publishing makes it available for people to watch. Choose the intended visibility for each video rather than assuming an uploaded file is public.
- Check the results before moving on. Keep the source files until each upload appears in Studio and you have checked its playback and processing status. This is a practical way to catch an incomplete or incorrect transfer before relying on the YouTube copy.

If an upload is interrupted
For a browser upload, YouTube says you can return to the upload page within 24 hours and select the same file to continue. If more than one file was being uploaded, check each item’s status and resume the affected file as needed. YouTube Help: Video stuck during upload

Studio or API automation?
YouTube Studio is the straightforward choice if you are uploading manually: select up to 15 files per batch, review their details, and assign playlists. A custom importer can automate a very large migration, but it is a developer workflow with separate upload and playlist operations, OAuth authorization, and API quota constraints.
What the YouTube Data API changes
The current videos.insert documentation specifies a maximum media file size of 256 GB and a separate allowance of 100 calls per day for that method. These are API limits, not YouTube Studio batch limits. The same documentation says uploads from unverified API projects created after July 28, 2020 are restricted to private viewing until the project passes an audit. Check the live quota and project requirements before building an automation around them. Google for Developers: Videos.insert

For interrupted API uploads, Google documents a resumable protocol: initiate a session, retain its returned session URL, send the media (in chunks if appropriate), and query the session state after an interruption to continue. Google for Developers: Resumable uploads
Playlist insertion is a separate API request
After uploading, an API client must separately insert each video into a playlist using the playlist ID and video ID. The playlistItems.insert method requires OAuth authorization and costs 50 quota units per call; it can fail if the playlist has reached its allowed maximum or the account cannot access the item. Troubleshooting common problems
- Uploads are much slower than expected: Run another upload-speed test from the computer’s current location. Your measured upstream rate, network conditions, file sizes, and busy upload traffic affect the estimate; the advertised Airtel plan speed is not a guaranteed upload rate.
- A browser upload stopped: Within 24 hours, return to the upload page and select the same file to continue, as YouTube Help describes.
- A video uploaded but is not public: Check its visibility in Studio. Uploading imports a file; it does not by itself mean you have published it.
- A video is missing from the intended playlist: Open its details in Studio and check the playlist assignment. For an API workflow, confirm that the playlist ID and video ID are correct and that the account is authorized to access them.
- An API migration stops after repeated calls: Check the project’s current quota and the method being called. Video uploads and playlist insertions are distinct operations with their own constraints.
