Use Chrome DevTools Device Mode to set the CSS viewport you want, then choose More options > Capture screenshot for the visible screen or Capture a full size screenshot for the entire page. Motorola specifies the Moto G84 5G’s physical display as 2400 × 1080 pixels (20:9), but that does not establish the phone browser’s CSS viewport or device pixel ratio. For repeatable website testing, record the emulated CSS dimensions you use rather than calling the panel resolution a confirmed browser viewport.
What Moto G84 screen size should you use?
Motorola lists the Moto G84 5G display as 2400 × 1080 pixels, 402 ppi, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Those are physical-display specifications, not a confirmed browser viewport in CSS pixels. The specification does not state the handset’s browser CSS width and height or device pixel ratio. Motorola’s Moto G84 specifications
For a responsive layout check, enter a CSS width and height directly in DevTools and report them as the dimensions used for emulation. Do not label 1080 × 2400 as the verified Moto G84 browser viewport. Choose portrait or landscape according to the layout you need to inspect.
Capture the website in Chrome DevTools
- Open the website in Chrome, then open DevTools.
- Click Toggle device toolbar to enable mobile emulation. In Responsive mode, enter the desired width and height in CSS pixels. Chrome also provides a device-dimensions list. Chrome DevTools Device Mode documentation
- If you want a reusable device entry and no Moto G84 preset is available, open Settings > Devices > Add custom device, enter the dimensions and other device details you intend to emulate, save, and select it from the dimensions list. This creates your chosen emulation profile; it does not supply or verify Moto G84-specific browser values. Chrome DevTools device settings
- Set the orientation and dimensions for the layout you want to review. Record the exact CSS width and height so another person can reproduce the capture.
- In the device toolbar, open More options. Choose Capture screenshot to capture the visible viewport, or Capture a full size screenshot to include the page below the fold.
Choose the right kind of capture
| Goal | Capture choice | What to record |
|---|---|---|
| Review the responsive layout visible on a phone-sized screen | Capture screenshot | Emulated CSS width and height, orientation, and that it is a viewport-only capture |
| Share or inspect the complete page, including below-the-fold content | Capture a full size screenshot | Emulated CSS width and height, orientation, and that it is a full-page capture |
| Check behavior specific to the handset | Capture on the physical Moto G84 | That the image came from the actual phone rather than desktop emulation |
When to use the actual Moto G84
Device Mode simulates the mobile experience on a desktop; it does not run the page on a mobile device, and some properties of real devices cannot be simulated. Use an actual Moto G84 when you need to verify real-device rendering or behavior. Chrome recommends testing on a real device when those differences matter. Chrome’s Device Mode guidance

Troubleshooting
- Moto G84 is not in the device list: Use Responsive mode and enter the CSS dimensions you need, or add a custom device through Settings > Devices > Add custom device. The available official documentation does not establish a verified G84-specific viewport preset.
- The screenshot dimensions do not match 2400 × 1080: DevTools captures at the emulated browser viewport, which is measured in CSS pixels; Motorola’s figure describes physical display pixels. Confirm the entered CSS dimensions and do not treat the panel resolution as the browser viewport.
- The screenshot cuts off content lower on the page: The regular screenshot captures the visible viewport. Choose More options > Capture a full size screenshot when you need the whole page.
- The emulated view differs from the phone: Device Mode is a simulation. Verify on the actual handset if the discrepancy involves real-device properties or behavior that desktop emulation cannot reproduce.
