Playlist order is only one part of the decision. Check whether a service supports shuffle or more specific rotation rules, live playlist edits, scheduling, restart or recovery controls, your required file formats and storage, and the YouTube connection method. If you may stream to other destinations or present live from a browser studio, verify that those features are available on the plan you would actually use.
How to choose a service for your channel
- Write down the rotation you need. Decide whether videos should play in a fixed order, shuffle, or follow another rule. Ask whether edits take effect immediately or require a restart.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Confusing a YouTube playlist with a live stream. A list of uploaded videos is not a continuous live encoder feed. Use a service or setup that actually plays the media into a live broadcast.
- Assuming “24/7” means guaranteed uptime. Recovery and monitoring features are vendor-described capabilities, not independent proof of perfect availability. Check what the provider says happens during an interruption.
