For a continuous, unattended YouTube playlist loop, StreamNeo is the first alternative to consider: it runs uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. For a scheduled event with a limited number of repeats, Restream is a closer fit; for continuous cloud looping, Gyre is another option. If you prefer to manage the stream yourself, YouTube supports encoder-based live streaming.
The right choice depends on whether you need one video to repeat a set number of times or a playlist to run continuously. Those are different jobs, and the services below do not offer identical loop behavior.
Which OneStream Live alternative fits your loop?
| Option | Best fit | Loop model and limits | How it runs |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Continuous, unattended YouTube streaming of uploaded videos or playlists | 24/7 looping; no repeat cap stated in the supplied StreamNeo product facts | Cloud service |
| Restream | A scheduled prerecorded event with bounded repeats | Up to 10 repeats; maximum 40 hours for a looped stream | Scheduled event; automatic airing is documented |
| Gyre | Continuous cloud playlist looping | Continuous 24/7 playlist loops are described on its product page; no numeric cap established here | Cloud service |
| YouTube with an encoder | People who want to operate their own encoder-based setup | YouTube documents encoder streaming; a particular looping configuration and repeat limit are not established here | Self-managed encoder workflow |
For context, OneStream Live’s own help guide says its prerecorded broadcast can loop up to 60 times in a single broadcast, while its separate overview describes 24/7 streaming as YouTube-only. Treat the finite repeat count and continuous-streaming description as distinct capabilities, and check the plan and current feature terms for your account before switching.
1. StreamNeo: continuous cloud looping
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded recordings. Upload a video or create a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and start the stream; the cloud continues the loop without requiring a computer, OBS, or home internet connection to stay on. It plays uploaded videos, not a live camera feed, and streams to YouTube only.

Plan the upload and compare operating costs
Before uploading, estimate transfer time with the upload-time calculator. To compare a hosted service with keeping a computer running, use the cloud vs PC cost calculator. If you are selecting prerecorded material, review the copyright safety checklist.
2. Restream: scheduled event with capped repeats
Restream is a candidate when the goal is a scheduled prerecorded event rather than an indefinitely repeating playlist. Its help center documents up to 10 repeats and a maximum 40-hour looped stream. The loop feature is identified as available on the Marathon and Media add-on plans, so check current plan details before committing.

Restream also documents scheduled prerecorded events that can air automatically. Its playlist feature is for arranging scheduled sequences, not for repeating a playlist: the playlist documentation sets a 24-hour maximum, and the loop guidance says playlists do not themselves support looping. If you need a loop, distinguish repeating one video from replaying a sequence of videos.
3. Gyre: continuous cloud playlist loops
Gyre’s product page describes uploading files to cloud storage, arranging a playlist, scheduling it, and running continuous 24/7 loops without a continuously running local computer. That makes it a candidate when continuous cloud operation and playlist replay are the main requirements.

Gyre also makes claims on its product page about views, watch time, recommendations, and revenue. Those are vendor marketing claims, not independently established results; choose it for the described workflow rather than assuming a particular audience or revenue outcome.
4. YouTube with a local encoder
YouTube documents encoder-based live streaming. This is the self-managed route: you create and configure a YouTube live stream, then operate an encoder as part of the workflow. It gives you control over the streaming setup, but it is not the same as a cloud scheduler running an unattended loop. The YouTube documentation establishes encoder support, not a specific OBS looping recipe or loop limit.

- Important Notes for PS/Xbox Gaming Devices: You can play last-gen games (PS4 / Xbox One) directly from an external hard drive. However, to play current-gen games (PS5 / Xbox Series X|S), you must copy them to the console's internal SSD first. The external drive is great for keeping your library on hand, but it can't run the new games.
Before relying on a local encoder for continuous playback, verify the encoder’s current instructions for looping media and confirm the host computer, network connection, and stream configuration can remain available for the full event. A stopped computer or interrupted connection can interrupt a locally operated workflow.

- Need an uploaded playlist to repeat continuously in the cloud? Start with StreamNeo or consider Gyre; compare the service’s storage and scheduling details against your playlist.
- Need one prerecorded video repeated a limited number of times in a scheduled event? Restream documents up to 10 repeats and a 40-hour maximum looped stream, subject to its relevant paid add-on plan.
- Need a scheduled sequence rather than a loop? Restream documents playlists up to 24 hours, but its playlist feature does not itself loop.
- Want to control your own encoder setup? Use YouTube’s encoder-based route and consult the encoder’s current documentation for media looping details.

Copyright and YouTube channel considerations
A video appearing as a live stream does not make its content automatically safe to broadcast. Use recordings and music you own or have permission to stream, and check licenses for the relevant platform and use. YouTube’s systems and rights holders may still identify copyrighted material in a prerecorded stream.
Also consider whether a channel built around repeated or minimally changed material meets YouTube’s monetization policies. A service can keep a stream running, but it cannot grant content rights or guarantee monetization, recommendations, or audience growth. Review YouTube’s current copyright and monetization rules before scheduling a long-running broadcast.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; uploaded video streams at its original quality up to 4K 60fps for one price per slot; and the service automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, and Monthly is $9.99 per month. Start your free StreamNeo day.
