No—not while it is live. YouTube excludes live streams and Premieres from Super Thanks while they are broadcasting. That rule applies even if the stream is playing a video recorded earlier: the broadcast is still live. After it ends, its archived long-form replay may be eligible for Super Thanks if both the channel and the video meet YouTube’s requirements.
Why a prerecorded broadcast is still ineligible while live
YouTube’s Super Thanks eligibility guidance excludes “Live streams or Premieres, while live (available on archived long-form videos afterwards).” The key distinction is the video’s status on YouTube, not when its source footage was recorded. A prerecorded video being broadcast continuously is still a live stream during the broadcast. YouTube does not separately name a 24/7 prerecorded-stream exception; applying its general live-stream rule to this case is an inference from that guidance.

Check whether the archived replay can receive Super Thanks
Once the broadcast has ended, check both channel access and the replay itself. YouTube’s guidance says Super Thanks may be available on archived long-form videos, but the replay must still satisfy the applicable requirements.
Confirm channel access and enablement
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Earn.
- Check whether the Supers tab is available. YouTube says this tab appears for channels with access to the relevant features.
- Review the fan-funding requirements, supported-location availability, and applicable terms. If Super Thanks is available to your channel, check that it is enabled.
For current setup details, use YouTube’s Turn on and manage Super Thanks guidance and its YouTube Commerce Products monetization policies. Feature access and interface details can change, so confirm the status shown in Studio.

Review the replay’s status and settings
YouTube lists exclusions for long-form videos and Shorts that include age-restricted, unlisted, or private content; made-for-kids content; copyright-claimed content; videos linked to fundraisers; and videos with comments disabled. Check the archived video’s visibility, audience designation, claims, fundraiser association, and comment settings against YouTube’s current Super Thanks eligibility policies. A channel-level feature being available does not guarantee that a particular replay qualifies.
