For a Gujarati devotional playlist on a slow or variable connection, test 720p at 30 fps first and choose a bitrate your actual upload can sustain. YouTube Help lists 3 Mbps as the minimum and 8 Mbps as the recommended H.264 video bitrate for 720p30. If you need 1080p, start with 30 fps: YouTube lists H.264 1080p30 at 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended. Those minimums are encoder settings, not guarantees of a stable stream. Measure upload at the streaming location, run a representative test, and keep 1080p only if stream health stays good.
Choose a resolution and bitrate your connection can sustain
YouTube’s live encoder guidance gives operating settings, not a promise that a connection capable of matching its minimum will carry a stream reliably. A speed test and a representative pre-stream test matter more than choosing a number from the table alone. YouTube Help recommends running a speed test to check upload bitrate, but does not prescribe a universal bandwidth margin.
| Video setting | Codec | YouTube-listed minimum video bitrate | YouTube-listed recommended video bitrate |
|---|---|---|---|
| 720p, 30 fps | H.264 | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps |
| 1080p, 30 fps | H.264 | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
| 1080p, 60 fps | H.264 | 6 Mbps | 17 Mbps |
| 1080p, 30 fps | AV1 or H.265 (HEVC) | 4 Mbps | 10 Mbps |
| 1080p, 60 fps | AV1 or H.265 (HEVC) | 4 Mbps | 12 Mbps |
These are YouTube Help’s current encoder-table values; its dynamically maintained page does not show a publication date. They are video bitrates, not upload-speed test results. Add the audio bitrate to the stream load: YouTube’s recommended stereo audio bitrate is 128 kbps.

If upload speed is low or fluctuates, begin with 720p30 and set a bitrate that the connection sustains in a real test. It is a practical fallback, not a special YouTube bitrate allowance for devotional content. YouTube does not publish a lower bitrate exception for Gujarati music, static artwork, or other low-motion visuals.
#1 Best Overall
- 40 Gbps 2000 Mhz High Speed: The Cat 8 ethernet cable support max. 40 Gbps data transfer and 2000 MHz Brandwith, ideal for gaming and streaming, greatly improving upload and download speed, sound, image and resolution quality

When to try 1080p
If 1080p matters, test 1080p30 before considering 1080p60. For H.264, YouTube lists 5 Mbps as the 1080p30 minimum and 14 Mbps as its recommendation. If stream health deteriorates, reduce bitrate or resolution rather than repeatedly trying to push an unstable stream. A codec with a lower listed recommendation does not fix an unreliable connection; test the actual encoder and network together.
Configure the encoder for a stable test
- Rate control: Use constant bitrate (CBR).
- Keyframes: Set a 2-second keyframe interval; do not exceed 4 seconds.
- Protocol: YouTube supports RTMP and RTMPS, and recommends RTMPS, the secure extension of RTMP.
- Video codec: YouTube lists H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1. Use a codec supported by your encoder and apply the corresponding YouTube bitrate guidance.
- Audio: Set stereo audio separately. YouTube lists AAC and MP3 as supported audio codecs and recommends 128 kbps for stereo.
- Latency: For a playlist that does not require live audience interaction, normal latency is a reasonable starting point. YouTube notes that lower latency can cause more playback buffering and is less important when the streamer does not interact with viewers.
Measure, test, and go live
- Measure upload at the streaming location. Run a speed test at the place and time the stream will run. YouTube recommends testing upload bitrate; do not treat one result as proof the connection will remain stable.
- Choose a conservative starting profile. Try 720p30 if capacity is constrained. If you want 1080p, begin with 1080p30 rather than 60 fps. Select a video bitrate the measured connection can sustain; include audio in the outgoing load.
- Use the encoder settings above. Set CBR, a 2-second keyframe interval, a supported protocol and codec, and stereo audio at the selected bitrate.
- Run a representative test before the broadcast. Use the actual playlist audio and visuals, including movement similar to what viewers will see. A static devotional playlist may behave differently from fast-moving footage, so a test with unrelated material is less informative.
- Check YouTube stream health during the test and broadcast. Keep the chosen profile only if the stream remains stable. If health is poor, lower bitrate or resolution and test again.
Common problems and what to change
The stream drops or stream health is poor
The chosen bitrate may exceed what the connection sustains, or upload performance may fluctuate. Retest at the streaming location, then lower the video bitrate or switch from 1080p to 720p30. Do not assume that reaching YouTube’s listed minimum in a speed test guarantees a stable broadcast.

- The unique flat cable shape allows for a cleaner and safer installation. You can easily and seamlessly make the cable run along walls, follow edges & corners or even make it completely invisible by sliding it under a carpet.
1080p works briefly but becomes unstable
Run a longer representative test and monitor stream health rather than judging the setting from a short initial period. If it degrades, use a lower bitrate or resolution. For H.264, 1080p60 has a higher YouTube-recommended bitrate than 1080p30, so test 30 fps first when bandwidth is limited.

The picture is acceptable but audio competes for bandwidth
Audio also contributes to the outgoing stream. Set its bitrate deliberately; YouTube recommends 128 kbps for stereo. Include that load when deciding whether your connection can sustain the video setting.

A different codec still does not stabilize the stream
YouTube’s listed 1080p recommendations differ by codec, but a lower table value is not a remedy for fluctuating upload. Confirm the encoder supports the codec, use the appropriate table setting, and test it on the actual connection. Otherwise, reduce the stream’s demands.
Copyright and playlist checks before streaming
A bitrate setting does not give you permission to broadcast the music or visuals. Before putting a Gujarati devotional playlist on YouTube Live, confirm you have the necessary rights to the recordings, compositions, artwork, and any other material in the stream. YouTube’s live encoder guidance addresses technical setup, not the copyright status of a playlist.
