Each is listed with active noise cancellation (ANC) and an IP55 rating in Tom’s Guide’s comparison, but the available evidence does not establish one universal winner or a reliable current price ranking. Prices and stock vary by country, so check local listings before choosing.
Here, “budget” means affordable true-wireless earbuds rather than one fixed price ceiling: a low-cost everyday pair, ANC, battery capacity, and fit can lead to different choices. The ratings below are published specifications, not independent test results from itechguides.com.
Budget wireless earbuds compared
Tom’s Guide’s 2026 guide lists ANC, rated battery life, and durability for these three models. Battery figures distinguish the earbuds alone from the total including the charging case; they are not guarantees of real-world runtime.
| Model | ANC | Rated battery life | Durability | What to consider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EarFun Air Pro 4+ | Yes | 12 hours (earbuds); 42 hours (with case) | IP55 | A feature-rich candidate to consider if its local price and fit suit you. The guide listing alone does not establish its ANC performance or overall value. |
| JLab Go Buds ANC | Yes | 7.5 hours (earbuds); 26 hours (with case) | IP55 | Consider it for everyday use if its compact design works for your ears; confirm comfort and ANC performance in a full review. |
| CMF Buds 2 | Yes | 12 hours (earbuds); 55 hours (with case) | IP55 | Its listed case-inclusive battery figure is the highest of these three; verify local price and real-world runtime before treating that as a deciding advantage. |
| Soundcore Space A40 | Not stated in the surfaced RTINGS excerpt | Not stated in the surfaced RTINGS excerpt | Not stated in the surfaced RTINGS excerpt | Named in RTINGS’ budget guide, but the excerpt does not provide comparable specifications or enough evidence for a ranking. |

How to choose the right pair
Set a local price ceiling
Decide what you mean by budget in your country and compare the price you can actually pay, not an undated sale price or another market’s list price. There is no complete, stable price comparison across these models in the cited listings, so this guide does not claim that any one is the cheapest.
Choose ANC for the situations where you need it
All three main candidates are listed as having ANC. That establishes feature presence, not how much noise they reduce. Look for a full review with listening or lab results if blocking commuting, office, or travel noise is your priority; don’t assume that ANC labels imply equal performance.

Read battery figures carefully
The listed hours are manufacturer-style rated specifications as presented by Tom’s Guide, not independently measured runtime here. Earbud-only time and case-inclusive time answer different questions. Conditions such as ANC use can affect runtime, and the comparison excerpt does not specify testing conditions for these figures.
Match durability to your use
IP55 is a dust- and water-resistance rating, not a claim that earbuds are waterproof or suitable for submersion. Check the manufacturer’s care guidance before exposing earbuds to water, sweat, or cleaning.

Prioritize fit and controls
In-ear seal and comfort vary from person to person. A stable seal can affect both comfort and how well you perceive sound and noise reduction, so a feature-rich model may still be the wrong choice if it does not fit. - Start with the EarFun Air Pro 4+ if you want to compare a feature-rich ANC option. Its listed rating is 12 hours for the earbuds and 42 hours with the case, but check a full review and local price before deciding it is the best value.
- Compare the JLab Go Buds ANC if everyday size and convenience matter more than the largest listed battery total. Tom’s Guide lists 7.5 hours for the earbuds and 26 hours with the case; verify the fit and performance in a full review.
- Look closely at the CMF Buds 2 if the listed case-inclusive battery figure is important. Tom’s Guide lists 12 hours for the earbuds and 55 hours with the case, but that rated figure is not a promise of typical runtime.
- Keep the Soundcore Space A40 on a wider shortlist only after checking its full review for comparable specifications and test findings; the surfaced RTINGS excerpt is not enough to compare it fairly.
Tom’s Guide says its guide selections were reviewed by an audio expert; that does not mean itechguides.com independently tested every model. For JLab’s broader product range, its official collection is a source for company product descriptions, not an independent comparison of call quality: JLab earbuds collection.

What to verify before buying
- Confirm the exact model name, local price, currency, seller, and stock in your country.
- Check whether the price is a regular listing or a temporary promotion.
- Read a full review for ANC effectiveness, comfort, sound, call quality, and test conditions rather than relying on feature presence alone.
- Check the manufacturer’s product information for supported controls and device features; do not infer them from a brand’s other models.
