Set your screenshot API’s documented full-page option. With Playwright, use fullPage: true in page.screenshot(); without it, the default is a viewport screenshot. Hosted APIs use different parameter names, so match the option to the endpoint you call.
Set Playwright to capture the full scrollable page
Playwright’s full-page mode captures the full scrollable page rather than only the area currently visible in the browser. In JavaScript, pass fullPage: true to page.screenshot():

For the equivalent Python option, use full_page=True. Other language bindings document their corresponding option in the Playwright screenshot API.

Set the equivalent option in a hosted screenshot API
Hosted APIs do not share a universal parameter name. Find the screenshot options in the documentation for the exact endpoint you use, then enable its full-page setting. For example, the reviewed references use full_page in Screenshot API and fullPage in ScreenshotAPI. Copying a parameter name from another provider may have no effect.

Do not substitute viewport height or clipping
A larger viewport changes the browser’s visible area. A clip selects a region of the page. Neither is the same as asking the screenshot API to capture the full scrollable page. If you need the entire page, use the provider’s full-page option; use viewport dimensions or clipping only when you want a particular visible size or region.
Make sure the page has finished rendering
Full-page mode captures page height, but it does not guarantee that every element has loaded. Pages may populate content after navigation or load images only when a user scrolls near them.

Troubleshoot a viewport-only or incomplete result

Does full-page mode make the browser viewport taller?
No. It requests a capture of the full scrollable page; changing viewport dimensions only changes the browser’s visible area.
