Choose how to build your Browse AI robot
Use Table Studio for information already visible
- Open Table Studio and enter the page URL you want to monitor (the origin URL).
- Review the structured table Browse AI proposes. Refine the fields or rows if needed.
- Save the robot. Browse AI says the first extraction runs after saving; you can then enable monitoring. Its help page describes this route as requiring “No coding, downloads, or browser extensions required.” (Browse AI: Building your first robot)
Use Robot Studio when the page requires interaction
If the target information only appears after a click, a search, scrolling, or password login, train the robot in Robot Studio instead. Start from the URL closest to the data, choose the goal to monitor site changes, record the interactions needed to reveal the information, inspect the captured output, and approve the robot. Add a monitor and choose its scope
You can select monitoring while creating a robot. For an existing robot, open its dashboard and select the Monitor tab, then create a monitor. The existing-robot route requires a trained and approved robot. Set the origin URL and save the monitor to activate it. (Browse AI: How to set up monitoring for website changes)
Choose the target and schedule based on the information you need. Browse AI documents hourly, daily, weekly, and custom schedule options, with days and a time/timezone available for configuration. A faster schedule can surface changes sooner, but schedule choices also affect credit use. Set a cadence that reflects how often the page changes and how quickly you need to know; account-specific plan limits are not established by the setup guide. If the robot supports input parameters, use them to check multiple search terms or filters through the same robot. Pick the kind of change to detect
- Text monitoring: Tracks changes in captured text, lists, or HTML. Use it for information such as prices, inventory, or page copy.
- Screenshot monitoring: Tracks visual differences. Choose it when page appearance matters or text capture is not suitable.
- Text monitoring with input parameters: Checks results that vary by a search term or filter, such as different queries handled by one robot.

Enable email alerts and check the monitor
In the robot dashboard, open Monitor, add or edit the monitor, enable email notifications for changes in captured text, and save. Verify the email address on the account. If an expected alert does not arrive, check spam, then review monitor history and failed runs to see whether the check detected a change or failed.
