If you can sign in but still see a paywall, your login has succeeded but the service may not be recognizing an active subscription for that account. Check which account and billing channel you used to subscribe, confirm the plan is active, and use the relevant app or provider’s restore process before buying again.
Why signing in may not unlock paid content
A login proves that the service recognizes your identity; it does not prove that a paid entitlement is active on that account. The subscription may be linked to a different service login, a different Apple or Google account, or a plan that has expired or is not syncing correctly.
This is a general diagnosis: the right menu and recovery steps depend on the app, device, operating-system version, billing market, and how you paid. A screenshot alone usually cannot identify which cause applies.
Work through these checks in order

Find out where you subscribed
Check the receipt or confirmation email and the billing settings for the service. A subscription bought through Apple, Google Play, or the service’s website may have different status and recovery steps. Start with the channel that processed the payment.

Compare the service login with the account used at purchase
In the app or website, check which account is currently signed in. Compare it with the account you used when subscribing. Different sign-in methods—such as Apple, email, or phone—can lead to different service accounts. For mobile subscriptions, OpenAI’s guidance, for example, says access can be tied to both the store account and the service account used at purchase; its recommended fix is to sign back into the original service account.

Confirm the subscription is active
Check the account or store that manages billing. A canceled or expired plan does not provide current paid access. If a subscription is missing from the account you checked, look for another Apple or Google account and search your email for the purchase receipt before concluding it was never bought.

Restore an eligible store purchase, if the app offers that option
For an Apple- or Google-billed purchase, use the app’s Restore Purchases option, if available, while signed into the store account used to buy it. Apple says some non-consumable purchases, including some subscriptions, can be restored; consumables such as in-game currency or hints cannot. A direct website subscription generally needs to be handled through the provider’s billing instructions, not an app-store restore button.

Refresh the app or page
After checking the account or restoring the purchase, close and reopen the app or reload the page. If restoration still fails, Apple recommends restarting the device. For a browser-only problem, try a private window; if the provider recommends it, also check whether cached data, a VPN, or an ad blocker is interfering.

Contact the provider if a valid charge did not unlock access
Do not assume you need to buy the subscription again. Contact the app or service provider, which can check app-specific access and billing. Include the app name, device and operating-system version, account email or sign-in method, what you tried, and the receipt’s date, time, and product name. Never send your password. Apple directs customers to the app developer when a charged in-app purchase still cannot be restored; Google Play likewise says the developer is responsible for the app and its content.
Use the symptom to narrow down the cause
