To stream RadioDJ to YouTube around the clock, run RadioDJ’s AutoDJ on a Windows PC and use a separate encoder to send that computer’s audio to YouTube Live. RadioDJ’s documented features cover automated playlist playback, not a native YouTube Live destination, so plan on an encoder bridge. The exact way to route RadioDJ audio depends on the encoder and your Windows audio setup.
What you need
- A Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC that meets RadioDJ’s listed baseline of a 1 GHz CPU and 8 GB RAM. RadioDJ’s features page lists .NET Framework 4.8 for v2 and later; its home page gives a different v2 requirement, so check the requirement for the specific version you install. - Your audio files and a configured RadioDJ library and rotation.
- A separate encoder capable of sending the PC’s audio to YouTube Live. The RadioDJ sources reviewed do not prescribe a particular YouTube encoder or capture device.
- A YouTube channel with access to Live Control Room, plus the server URL and stream key for your stream.
- Rights to stream every track in the playlist, including any permissions or Content ID arrangements needed for YouTube Live.

Configure RadioDJ for continuous playback
- Install RadioDJ on the Windows PC, following the requirements for the version you choose.
- Add your audio library and organize tracks into the categories, subcategories, or genres you plan to rotate.
- Configure rotation rules, including any rules you want to prevent a track, artist, or album from repeating within a selected interval.

Route RadioDJ audio through a separate encoder
Leave RadioDJ playing through a Windows audio device, then configure a separate encoder to capture that output. This is the practical bridge between RadioDJ’s documented Windows audio support and YouTube’s encoder workflow; the cited documentation does not establish one universal capture-device configuration.
- Choose the audio device RadioDJ will use for playback and select the corresponding input or capture source in your encoder. The names and available routing options vary by encoder and Windows configuration.
- Play a track in RadioDJ. Confirm that the encoder’s audio meter moves and that its preview contains the expected sound. If it does not, correct the audio routing before going live.
- Check that the encoder is capturing the intended RadioDJ output rather than an unrelated microphone or device. Listen to the preview and check for silence, unwanted sound, or excessive level.
RadioDJ’s FAQ discusses third-party encoders for Shoutcast/Icecast, but that is not evidence of official support for any particular encoder sending to YouTube. RadioDJ FAQ

Connect the encoder to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or select a stream.
- Copy the stream’s server URL and stream key from YouTube into the encoder’s streaming settings. Keep the key private: it lets a sender transmit to your channel.
- Start the encoder and wait for YouTube’s preview and status to show the incoming feed.

You can schedule a stream in Live Control Room; YouTube says scheduling can provide a watch page and reminders before the event. The YouTube Live API also distinguishes a broadcast (a distinct video) from a stream (the transmission settings and content feed), but API setup is not required for this basic encoder-based workflow. Plan 24/7 operation and archives
The PC running RadioDJ and the encoder must remain available for the feed to continue. You can use an existing suitable Windows PC or dedicate a separate host. Choose based on whether it can stay online, how you will handle restarts and recovery, how easily you can route audio, and whether it is needed for other work. The cited RadioDJ requirements do not benchmark encoder load or particular computers, so check your own setup under its expected workload.

YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a single continuous 24-hour broadcast will be saved as one video. If you need archives, plan stream sessions shorter than that limit and confirm the current behavior in YouTube Studio. YouTube encoder instructions
Clear music rights before broadcasting
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can replace the live video with a placeholder or interrupt or terminate the stream. YouTube also warns that licensed third-party material may still be interrupted if the rights holder has not added your channel to its Content ID allowlist.
