पहले source video का orientation और dimensions जाँचें
Aspect ratio वीडियो की चौड़ाई और ऊँचाई का अनुपात है। उदाहरण के लिए, 1920×1080 और 1280×720 दोनों 16:9 हैं। अलग-अलग regional clips landscape, portrait या किसी अन्य आकार में हो सकते हैं; भाषा, क्षेत्र या content type देखकर ratio का अनुमान न लगाएँ।
जिस prerecorded फ़ाइल को stream करना है, उसके file details या media player में दिख रहे dimensions नोट करें। फिर तय करें कि YouTube पर पूरा frame दिखाना ज़रूरी है या किनारे crop किए जा सकते हैं। यह निर्णय OBS में खाली canvas space और crop की मात्रा तय करेगा।
OBS में canvas और stream output सेट करें
- OBS खोलें और Settings > Video पर जाएँ।
- Base (Canvas) Resolution में वह आकार चुनें जिसमें आप sources और बाकी scene elements व्यवस्थित करेंगे। यह OBS का composition area है।
- Output (Scaled) Resolution में वह आकार चुनें जो stream के रूप में भेजना है। यह canvas से अलग setting है।
- यदि सामान्य landscape YouTube stream बना रहे हैं, तो 16:9 से शुरू करें। OBS Project की 27 नवंबर 2021 की Aspect Ratio Guide 1920×1080 और 1280×720 को 16:9 उदाहरण के रूप में सुझाती है (OBS Aspect Ratio Guide)।
- Apply और OK चुनें। Base canvas बदलने के बाद scene sources की position या size दोबारा ठीक करनी पड़ सकती है।
Base canvas और output को एक ही संख्या रखना अनिवार्य नहीं है। चुनाव इस बात पर निर्भर है कि scene किस आकार में बन रही है और stream किस resolution में भेजना है।

Video source को बिना विकृत किए canvas में रखें
अपनी scene में prerecorded video source जोड़ें या चुनें, फिर preview में उसके आकार और position को समायोजित करें। Source और canvas के ratios अलग होने पर तीन व्यावहारिक विकल्प हैं:
पूरा frame दिखाएँ
Source को इतना छोटा करें कि उसका पूरा frame canvas के भीतर आ जाए। इससे किनारे सुरक्षित रहते हैं, लेकिन canvas का कुछ हिस्सा खाली रह सकता है। उस जगह पर background, title, webcam या अन्य scene elements रख सकते हैं।

Canvas भरें और जरूरत हो तो crop करें
Source को बड़ा करके canvas भरें। यदि अनुपात अलग हैं, तो कुछ किनारे कट सकते हैं। OBS में source की bounding box खींचते समय Alt दबाकर crop करें; अधिक सटीक बदलाव के लिए source पर right-click करके Edit Transform खोलें। Crop तभी करें जब हटने वाले किनारों में महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी न हो।
Stretch करके अनुपात न बिगाड़ें
Source को जबरन दोनों दिशाओं में खींचकर canvas भरना चेहरे, वस्तुओं और text को चौड़ा या लंबा दिखा सकता है। OBS की Aspect Ratio Guide source की proportions बनाए रखने की सलाह देती है (OBS Project)। यदि पूरा frame बचाना है, तो fit करके खाली जगह को scene design में इस्तेमाल करें; यदि crop स्वीकार्य है, तो crop-to-fill चुनें।

YouTube vertical या dual-stream layout इस्तेमाल कर रहे हों
YouTube की documented horizontal और vertical live सुविधा में vertical प्रस्तुति default रूप से center-crop हो सकती है। YouTube के Live Control Room में उपलब्ध layout विकल्प देखें और जाँचें कि crop में मुख्य subject सुरक्षित है। YouTube encoder के ज़रिए दोनों layouts संपादित करने के निर्देश भी देता है। ये YouTube की stream configuration हैं; इन्हें OBS की canvas/output settings का विकल्प न समझें (YouTube Help: horizontal और vertical live streams)।
यह सुविधा, उपलब्ध layouts और encoder निर्देश scheduled stream के विकल्पों पर निर्भर हो सकते हैं। अपने event के Live Control Room में दिखाई देने वाली वर्तमान settings की पुष्टि करें। अगर vertical crop महत्वपूर्ण content काटता है, तो उपलब्ध layout बदलें या composition को उस crop के अनुरूप बनाएँ।

Live जाने से पहले preview और test करें
- OBS preview में पूरी scene देखें—विशेषकर video के किनारे, title और अन्य जरूरी elements।
- YouTube Live Control Room में stream preview जाँचें और पुष्टि करें कि output में framing वैसी ही है जैसी OBS में दिख रही है।
- यदि vertical या dual-stream layout है, तो उस presentation का crop अलग से जाँचें।
- संभव हो तो public event से पहले test stream करें। YouTube encoder setup के दौरान Live Control Room preview देखने और audio/video quality monitor करने की सलाह देता है (YouTube Help: encoder से live stream करना)।
आम समस्याएँ और उनके उपाय
- वीडियो खिंचा हुआ दिखता है: Source को stretch किया गया है। Proportions बनाए रखते हुए fit करें या स्वीकार्य किनारों को crop करके canvas भरें।
- Canvas बदलने पर scene बिगड़ गई: Base (Canvas) Resolution बदलने से source की पहले की position और size अनुपयुक्त हो सकती है। OBS preview में sources फिर से align और resize करें।
- पूरी video दिख रही है, लेकिन खाली जगह बची है: यह अलग aspect ratios का सामान्य नतीजा है। Background, title या अन्य scene elements से जगह भरें; केवल खालीपन हटाने के लिए image distort न करें।
- YouTube vertical output में subject कट रहा है: Default center crop subject को frame से बाहर कर सकता है। Live Control Room में उपलब्ध layout जाँचें और crop preview के अनुसार composition समायोजित करें।
- YouTube player में black bars दिखाई दे रहे हैं: जाँचें कि bars source video में पहले से तो नहीं हैं। जहाँ संभव हो, उन्हें वीडियो में bake करने के बजाय OBS scene के भीतर framing करें; YouTube का desktop player अलग आकार के video के अनुसार adapt करता है (YouTube Help: computer पर video resolution और aspect ratios)।
- OBS preview और YouTube preview मेल नहीं खाते: OBS output resolution और YouTube के scheduled stream layout दोनों जाँचें। Encoder preview देखकर live जाने से पहले अंतर ठीक करें।
Prerecorded regional clips को stream करने से पहले rights जाँचें
Aspect ratio सही होने से rebroadcast की अनुमति साबित नहीं होती। जिस clip को stream करने जा रहे हैं, उसके उपयोग और प्रसारण अधिकार अपने स्तर पर जाँचें। यहाँ दिए गए aspect-ratio स्रोत किसी खास regional video के लिए copyright clearance स्थापित नहीं करते।
