You can automate a Hindi video playlist on YouTube Live by putting the files in a concat-demuxer playlist, feeding that playlist to FFmpeg, and connecting FFmpeg to the stream URL and key from YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. The video language does not change the setup. For a continuous loop, test your exact files and FFmpeg build before relying on it: playlist transitions and looping behavior are not universal.
Before you start
- Confirm broadcast rights. Use video and audio you own, have licensed, or are otherwise authorized to broadcast.
- Check YouTube Live access. You must enable live streaming for your channel. YouTube says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours. See Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Inspect the files. Record each video’s path, duration, codecs, dimensions, frame rate, and audio properties. Files with different media properties may not join cleanly through stream copy.
- Choose where FFmpeg will run. A local computer works if it can remain powered and has enough upload capacity. An always-on remote server is optional, not a YouTube requirement.
Prepare the playlist file
FFmpeg’s concat demuxer reads an ffconcat text file and sequences the media files it names. Save a playlist in the directory where you will run FFmpeg, or use paths that resolve from your chosen working directory. The official format is documented in the FFmpeg concat demuxer documentation.
For example, a playlist file named hindi-playlist.ffconcat can contain:

file 'videos/bhajan-02.mp4'Replace these example names with your own paths. Keep the order intentional. If a filename contains characters that need escaping, follow FFmpeg’s quoting rules rather than assuming every path will work as typed. Test that FFmpeg can open every listed file before connecting to YouTube.

Decide whether to stream once or loop
One pass
If the broadcast should end when the playlist finishes, run the playlist once. This is the simpler case: verify the ending behavior in a short private or unlisted test before scheduling a public event.
Continuous playback
If the playlist must repeat indefinitely, verify looping with your installed FFmpeg version and the exact media files. The concat demuxer supports playlists, but that fact alone does not guarantee seamless transitions or establish one universally portable loop command. Mixed codecs, frame rates, dimensions, timestamps, and audio properties can affect playback. Do a short test stream and inspect both FFmpeg’s output and YouTube’s preview before leaving it unattended.
Do not assume stream-copying mixed files will work correctly. If the test shows incompatibilities, normalize the source files to consistent media properties or configure an appropriate transcode after checking your FFmpeg build and the requirements of your stream. No universal bitrate or encoding settings are established here for every playlist and ingest endpoint.

Create a YouTube Live stream and connect FFmpeg
- Open YouTube Studio. Choose Create → Go Live, then create a stream or schedule one in Live Control Room. Follow YouTube’s current encoder workflow at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Copy the ingest details. In Live Control Room, copy the server URL and stream key issued for the stream. Treat the key as a password: do not put it in a public script repository, screenshot, shared document, or tutorial example. Keep it out of logs where possible.
- Use RTMPS when supported. Prefer the exact RTMPS endpoint YouTube provides when your FFmpeg build supports it. Google’s RTMPS ingestion guide describes RTMPS as RTMP tunneled through SSL/TLS and specifies the endpoint, port 443, and SNI hostname authentication requirements. Use the issued endpoint as-is; a server URL and stream key are separate values, and the precise command depends on the URL format and whether you are copying or transcoding media.
- Start FFmpeg and check the preview. Confirm FFmpeg is reading the intended files and YouTube is receiving a preview in Live Control Room. For a scheduled stream, the encoder connection does not itself start the public event: YouTube’s workflow requires you to click Go live after the preview appears.
- Monitor the broadcast. Watch FFmpeg output, YouTube stream health, and the preview. When finished, stop the encoder and end the stream intentionally. YouTube’s current Help page says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; that statement does not establish the same automatic-archive behavior for longer streams.
Automate the process without losing control
Playlist playback and operational reliability are separate problems. A playlist can be valid while the process stops because of a machine restart, network interruption, full disk, or other host issue. For unattended operation, use process supervision and alerting suited to the operating system or hosting environment, and monitor storage and network availability. This is operational guidance, not a guarantee of uninterrupted service.

- Run a short end-to-end test with the actual playlist and endpoint before a scheduled broadcast.
- Check that every path still resolves after changing the working directory or moving the job to a server.
- Keep credentials out of source control, screenshots, and routine logs; rotate the stream key if it is exposed.
- Provide a way to detect a stopped FFmpeg process and confirm that a restart behaves as intended.
- Do not assume playlist edits will be picked up while FFmpeg is already running; seamless live updates are not established by the concat playlist format alone.
Choose a local computer or remote server
YouTube does not require a VPS for this workflow. Choose the environment based on whether it can sustain the job and whether you can monitor it:

Copyright, reused content, and monetization
Permission to broadcast is a separate question from whether a video plays technically. YouTube’s channel monetization policies assess reused and repetitive content at the channel level. A playlist that republishes existing material may affect monetization eligibility even when the stream runs without technical errors. Review YouTube’s current channel monetization policies; a working FFmpeg setup does not guarantee eligibility. This is not a legal determination about ownership or fair use.

Troubleshooting
FFmpeg cannot open a playlist entry
Check the spelling, quoting, and relative or absolute path for that file, then run the job from the directory you expect. Confirm that the FFmpeg process can read the file in its actual runtime environment.
The playlist stops instead of repeating
Check whether you configured a repeat strategy at all, then test it against the installed FFmpeg version and actual playlist. The concat demuxer playlist format does not by itself promise continuous looping.
Playback fails or breaks at a file transition
Compare the files’ codecs, dimensions, frame rates, timestamps, and audio properties. Test the exact sequence locally; normalize incompatible sources or configure transcoding if needed, then test the YouTube preview again.

YouTube does not show an incoming preview
Recheck the server URL and stream key copied from the correct Live Control Room stream. If using RTMPS, confirm the FFmpeg build supports the endpoint’s TLS/SNI requirements and port 443. Do not substitute a guessed endpoint for the one YouTube issued.
A scheduled event remains waiting after FFmpeg connects
Wait for the preview to appear, then use the scheduled-stream workflow’s Go live action in Live Control Room.
The stream works, but monetization is uncertain
Technical delivery does not settle channel monetization eligibility. Review YouTube’s reused and repetitive content policy and assess the channel’s content as a whole.
