A product-page screenshot cannot prove a checkout-only code was redeemed or that an order was placed.
First identify where the coupon takes effect
There are two different coupon states, and they may appear on different screens. Amazon training material shows coupons surfaced on product detail pages; its checkout guidance describes entering a promo code during checkout and checking the resulting price there. The exact interface and availability can vary by marketplace, product, and account.
- On-page coupon: select or clip it on the product detail page, then capture the page showing the selected coupon.
- Checkout promo code: enter and apply the code in checkout, then capture the summary showing the discount reflected in the price.

How to screenshot an Amazon product page with a coupon applied
- Open the product detail page. Confirm that the correct product and variant are shown. If the coupon applies only to a particular size, color, or quantity, make sure the selected option is visible or otherwise clear.
- Clip or select the on-page coupon. Do this before capturing. Check that the page now visibly shows the selected coupon or its savings.
- Frame the product and offer together. If possible, keep the product title or identifying image and the coupon label in the same view. Ensure the text is legible at the saved image size.
- Capture the screen or page. Use a visible-area screenshot when the relevant details fit in one view. Use a full-page capture if the identifying product details and coupon are separated by scrolling.
- Keep an original if you edit a copy. Cropping or annotating can help explain an image, but do not present an edited copy as an unaltered record.
- Check for private information before sharing. Look for an account name, delivery address, order identifiers, or payment details and avoid exposing them.
Amazon’s training illustrates the product-page coupon state separately from savings shown at checkout. A product-page image is evidence of what the page displayed, not proof that a later checkout code was used or that a purchase was completed.

Where to screenshot after applying a promo code
If the code is entered during checkout, a product-page screenshot is the wrong proof point unless the product page itself also shows the discount. Put the eligible item in the cart, enter and apply the code in the checkout flow, then inspect the final order summary before placing the order. Capture the summary that displays the adjusted price; Amazon advises customers to verify the final checkout price before ordering (Amazon promo-code guidance).
Make the screenshot’s context explicit when sharing it: identify whether it shows a product page, cart, or checkout summary. A checkout summary shows the price at that stage; by itself, it does not establish that the order was submitted, that every offer term was satisfied, or that the same promotion remains available later.

For any method, confirm that the coupon action has taken effect and dynamic content has finished loading before capture. A tool captures a page state; it does not itself establish that a coupon is eligible or redeemable.

Common problems and fixes
- The discount is missing from the screenshot: Check whether the offer is a product-page coupon or a checkout code. Clip the former on the listing; for the latter, capture the checkout summary after applying the code.
- The screenshot shows the coupon but not the product: Reframe the visible-area capture, or use full-page capture if the details are far apart. If a long-page tool splits the result, use the relevant part or capture a focused section.
- The capture shows a loading state or incomplete content: Wait until the relevant coupon and price are visible before capturing. For API capture, use documented wait conditions or a delay where appropriate; do not assume the tool can access a page that requires an authenticated session.
- The image is hard to interpret later: Preserve enough surrounding page context to identify the product and offer, and label whether it is a product, cart, or checkout view.
- The screenshot exposes account or payment details: Do not share it as-is. Remove or obscure sensitive details on a clearly marked copy and retain the original privately if needed.
What a coupon screenshot can and cannot establish
A product-page capture can show the listing and a selected on-page coupon. A cart or checkout capture can show a discount reflected at that stage. Neither alone proves an order was completed, that all eligibility conditions were met, or that a promotion is still active. Avoid describing a visible coupon banner as evidence that a separate promo code was redeemed.
