Then open the PDF and check that the transaction details you need are visible and not cut off. This saves a copy of the webpage as displayed; it does not prove that the payment posted to your bank account.
Save the receipt webpage as a PDF in Chrome on Android
- Open the receipt webpage in Chrome on your Android device.
- Tap More → Share → Print. These steps are for Chrome on Android; other browsers and platforms may have different menus. Chrome Help: Print from Chrome – Android.
- In the print preview, select Save as PDF.
- Choose a device location and save the file.
- Open the saved PDF. Confirm that it contains the date, amount, UPI transaction ID, and any other details you need, and that no text is clipped or missing.
Choose the right record for your purpose
A PDF made from a webpage preserves the page as rendered in the browser. It is distinct from a payment app’s transaction details or statement, and from the bank statement that shows account activity.

For Google Pay, use its transaction record or statement when appropriate
Google Pay lets you find a transaction using See transaction history, share an individual transaction from its details page, and use More → Get Statement to export a PDF or e-statement for a selected transaction-history period. Its history covers transactions made through Google Pay, not all UPI or banking transactions. See Google Pay Help: View transaction history.
A recharge invoice is a separate feature: Google Pay documents invoice downloads for recharges, and says invoice service for other transaction types is unavailable. See Google Pay Help: Download invoices for recharges on Google Pay.

Verify the payment against your bank statement
To check account-level activity, compare the transaction date, amount, and UPI transaction ID with the bank statement. Google Pay’s guidance describes checking a sender’s debit or a recipient’s credit against that statement (Check your bank statement; How to check your bank statement). Federal Bank likewise distinguishes an app’s own transaction history from UPI transactions on the account, which appear in the bank statement: Federal Bank: UPI – Unified Payment Interface.
What to do if the PDF is incomplete
- A detail is missing: Check whether it appears on the webpage lower down or in the payment app’s transaction details. A webpage PDF can preserve only what the page displays.
- Content is clipped: Reopen print preview and review its available print settings, then save and inspect the PDF again. If the layout remains unsuitable, use the app’s transaction record or bank statement as appropriate.
- You cannot find a PDF export in your UPI app: Do not assume every provider supports one. NPCI describes viewing transaction history in an app’s transaction-history screen (NPCI: UPI – Frequently Asked Questions), and BHIM documents transaction-history features (NPCI: BHIM UPI App). PhonePe describes passbook and history features, but that does not establish a universal PDF-export option (PhonePe Payments; PhonePe UPI Terms).
- The PDF looks correct but the payment is not on the bank statement: The saved page is not proof of account posting. Check the transaction details with your bank or payment provider.
