Plan the branch rotation as part of the live rundown
Before going live, decide the order in which the stores will appear and give each location its own segment. Use a readable branch name, neighborhood, or city as the on-screen identifier. When the presenter moves to the next store, change the identifier and the offer details at the same time.
These branch labels, lower thirds, maps, and segment timings are production choices, not a documented YouTube setting for automatically rotating locations. Keep the location and offer visible and unambiguous so viewers can tell which store is being discussed.
Prepare each branch segment
- List the branch name or area and the products or offer to feature.
- Set a clear transition point in the rundown so the audience can follow the change of location.
- Update the location identifier and offer information when the segment changes.
Rotate tagged products separately in YouTube Live
Eligible creators can tag products featured in a live stream. Viewers can open Shopping to see tagged products. YouTube also supports pinning multiple featured products; when the automatic option is enabled in desktop Live Control Room, tagged products are pinned one after another and rotate every 60 seconds. This rotates product pins, not branches or location graphics. YouTube’s product-tagging guidance describes the feature and its limits.

- Check eligibility and product availability. Shopping features depend on channel eligibility, supported locations, and product delivery availability.
- Tag the products featured in the stream. Tags must be meaningfully related to the content, prominently featured, and used safely. Other-brand products can be tagged only when available from a selected retailer, with that specific retailer selected.
- Curate the product order before going live. In desktop Live Control Room, enable the automatic product-pinning option if you want tagged products to rotate. Confirm the picker order in advance.
- Finish changes early. YouTube warns that updates made during a stream may not appear to some viewers who are already watching. It advises completing product removals or rearrangement at least 30 minutes before the stream for the best viewer experience.
Product tags help viewers discover items; they are not a branch locator, a promise of local inventory, or a store-specific coupon mechanism. YouTube Shopping visibility and purchase availability vary geographically, and product information reflects merchant countries of sale and delivery. YouTube’s Shopping setup guidance explains that a creator may connect their own store and tag its products across YouTube, including live streams. Sales, fulfillment, returns, and customer support are handled by the retailer or platform, so do not imply every viewer can see or buy every tagged item.
Keep branch and product rotation distinct

Handle branded content and embedded ads correctly
YouTube defines branded content to include content influenced by a brand partner in exchange for something of value, such as payment, free products, or sponsorship; the policy applies to live streams. If the stream contains branded content, declare it in Studio. YouTube says it will show a disclosure label, but creators remain responsible for making disclosure clear and prominent and following applicable local law. YouTube’s policy states: “If your video contains branded content, you must let us know using the paid promotion declaration in Studio.” Read YouTube’s paid promotion policy.

Do not burn advertiser-created or supplied video ads, or other commercial breaks, into the stream. YouTube treats this separately from branded content disclosure and prohibits embedding those ad breaks.
