For a prerecorded property-tour loop on YouTube Live, choose a cloud service if you want playback to continue without a computer at your office, a dedicated encoder if you want scheduled playback on hardware, or a local software encoder if you can keep a suitable computer running. StreamNeo is the first cloud option to consider: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.
Which kind of tool fits a property-tour loop?
YouTube Live receives an encoder feed; uploading a regular YouTube video alone does not create an encoder-driven live broadcast. The practical choice is where the prerecorded tour is played and sent to YouTube.
| Option | How it works | Best fit | What is established |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and start the cloud stream. | Operators who want a YouTube channel to keep looping uploaded tours without leaving a computer on. | Cloud looping, playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot. |
| Gyre | Cloud-based streaming of prerecorded videos to YouTube Live. | Operators seeking cloud playout for continuous streaming. | YouTube’s verified-encoder list describes Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 prerecorded streaming. The listing is not an independent workflow review or service-quality guarantee. |
| AJA HELO Plus | Standalone hardware encoder with PlayToStream for scheduled prerecorded media sent to YouTube Live. | Operators who prefer playback and streaming on a dedicated encoder rather than a computer. | YouTube lists its ability to schedule prerecorded media without a computer. |
| Local software encoder | Play the tour on a computer and send the encoder output to YouTube’s Live server URL and stream key. | Operators who already have a suitable computer and can keep it and its network connection running. | YouTube supports encoder-based streaming generally; the available information does not compare local uptime or cost with cloud services. |
YouTube describes products on its verified encoder list as third-party products, not products made by YouTube. Its inclusion indicates that YouTube lists the product for streaming; it does not establish that it is best for real-estate tours.
What to check before starting a YouTube Live tour
- Channel eligibility: YouTube says the channel must be verified and have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before a scheduled tour.
- Rights and platform rules: YouTube says live streams must follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Confirm that you have permission to use the property footage and every included music track, voiceover, or other audio in the intended broadcast. YouTube’s cited guidance does not set out property-tour-specific rights rules.
- Video compatibility: Check that the selected cloud service, hardware encoder, or software accepts the tour file and its audio. If the tour is 360-degree footage, use YouTube’s separate 360-degree live-stream instructions rather than assuming flat-video settings apply.
- Controlled test: Test before the public broadcast, using sound and movement similar to the actual stream, and monitor stream health while live. Use a private or otherwise controlled test where appropriate.
Configure the encoder feed
For a computer-based encoder or a compatible hardware device, open YouTube’s live control room, create or select the planned live stream, and use the server URL and stream key shown there. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance says to enter the YouTube Live server URL and stream key into the encoder. Treat the key as a password: do not share it or include it in a public screen recording.
#1 Best Overall
- Capture video directly to your hard drive
- Record video in many video file formats including avi, wmv, flv, mpg, 3gp, mp4, mov and more
- Capture video from a webcam, network IP camera or a video input device (e.g.: VHS recorder)
- Screen capture software records the entire screen, a single window or any selected portion
- Digital zoom with the mouse scroll wheel, and drag to scroll the recording window
- Verify live access: In YouTube Studio, complete channel verification and enable live streaming. If this is your first activation, allow up to 24 hours before the stream is needed.
- Get the ingest details: In YouTube Studio’s live control room, create or select the broadcast and copy its server URL and stream key into the encoder’s corresponding fields. A cloud service may present its own fields for these values.
- Set compatible output: YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends H.264 video, constant bitrate encoding, and a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds. YouTube recommends RTMPS. Exact controls and supported formats vary by encoder, so use the settings available on the device or service you selected.
- Load the tour and test: Select the recording or playlist, check audio and motion, and run a controlled test. Confirm that YouTube receives the feed and reports healthy stream status before relying on it for a public loop.
- Start and monitor: Start the encoder or cloud playback, confirm that the live broadcast is active in YouTube Studio, and monitor stream health during the broadcast. A local setup also requires the playback computer and its network connection to remain available.
Special case: 360-degree property tours
For a 360-degree live tour, YouTube specifies equirectangular projection and prefers 2160p or 1440p. Those instructions apply to 360-degree live streams, not ordinary flat video tours. Verify that the chosen encoder accepts the file’s 360-degree format before scheduling the broadcast.
Compare the practical trade-offs
- Where playback runs: StreamNeo and Gyre are cloud options; HELO Plus handles scheduled prerecorded playback on dedicated hardware; a local encoder uses the operator’s computer.
- Computer dependence: Cloud playout avoids keeping the office computer on. YouTube specifically describes HELO Plus scheduling prerecorded media without a computer. A local encoder requires its computer and network to remain available.
- Scheduling and continuity: The available product descriptions identify Gyre for continuous 24/7 streams and HELO Plus for scheduled prerecorded media. StreamNeo provides 24/7 looping and automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. These descriptions do not establish comparative uptime or prove that any one option performs better.
- Control and complexity: Local operation keeps playback on your computer; cloud and hardware options move some or all of that work elsewhere. Consider which workflow you can monitor and recover if the tour stops.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload your tour recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home or in the office; the uploaded video streams at its original quality, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card required, one free day per account. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo or start your free first day.

Common problems and fixes
- Live streaming is not available: Check channel verification and whether the channel had a live-streaming restriction within the past 90 days. For first-time activation, allow up to 24 hours.
- YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: Check that the encoder has the correct YouTube Live server URL and stream key, and that the encoder is actually sending. Keep the key private; if it has been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- The stream health is poor or the broadcast stops: Test the exact tour and audio before going public, check the encoder’s output and connection, and monitor YouTube’s stream health. For a local setup, ensure the computer has not slept or lost network access.
- A 360-degree tour looks wrong: Confirm it uses the equirectangular projection required by YouTube’s 360-degree guidance and that the selected encoder supports the file format.
- The stream is interrupted by a rights or policy issue: Review the tour’s footage and audio permissions and ensure the content complies with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
