Manage a playlist in Studio
In YouTube Studio, go to Content → Playlists. You can add videos by search, URL, or from your library. For playlists that include videos beyond Shorts, drag items into the order you want. Reordering is unavailable when a playlist contains only Shorts.
Limits and problems to know about
- A Made for Kids video or channel will not add from a homepage. YouTube says you can still add the content from search results.
- You cannot create public playlists indefinitely in a day. YouTube applies a daily limit across YouTube, YouTube Music, and the YouTube API. Access to advanced features can raise the limit, but the help guidance does not state a fixed number.
- Visibility controls may be missing on supervised accounts. YouTube says playlist privacy settings may not be available for these accounts.
- A playlist title or description is rejected. In YouTube Studio, keep the title within 150 characters and the description within 5,000 characters.
Or let it run in the cloud
A playlist organizes videos for viewers; it does not keep a live stream running. If your goal is to loop uploaded recordings as a 24/7 YouTube live stream, StreamNeo is a separate cloud service: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; uploads stream as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
