What YouTube eligibility and policy rules still apply?
Using a third-party service does not bypass YouTube’s channel requirements or policies. If your account is under a live-stream restriction, YouTube says you may not use another channel to livestream while the restriction is active; attempting to circumvent it can lead to termination. See Avoid restrictions on YouTube live streaming.
- Copyright: Only stream material you have the rights to use, including music, visuals, and any third-party clips. A video being prerecorded or continuously looped does not exempt it from copyright rules.
- Reused content: Separately from live-stream eligibility, consider whether the channel’s overall content is original and adds value. A technically continuous broadcast is not a guarantee of monetization approval.
- Channel status: Check YouTube Studio for live-stream access and account restrictions before configuring a service.

Choose cloud looping when the stream must stay on unattended

Choose scheduled prerecorded playback for a timed broadcast
If the goal is one prerecorded event that starts at a selected time rather than a continuous loop, StreamYard documents automatic scheduled playback even when you are offline. It is not documented here as a 24/7 looping solution.
Choose an encoder workflow when you need production control
An encoder can feed YouTube Live Control Room, but the computer or other source running that encoder and the network connection need to remain available. This is suitable when you want to control a production setup yourself; YouTube’s live-stream overview lists encoder streaming but does not present it as a prerecorded 24/7 scheduler.

Separate live continuity from archive retention
A service staying live does not mean YouTube will retain an unlimited recording. Restream warns about possible maintenance restarts after more than 24 continuous hours and says YouTube archives streams shorter than 12 hours.
