For streaming to YouTube from a phone in India, PRISM Live Studio Mobile is the current option supported by the available documentation; Omlet Arcade is a discontinued service. PRISM offers camera, screen/gameplay and virtual-avatar modes. A secondary page reproducing an Omlet shutdown notice gives June 30, 2023 as its last operating day, though that date was not confirmed from an accessible first-party notice.

Which app can you use now?

This is not a choice between two equally available apps. PRISM Live Studio Mobile has current official documentation and an India-facing Google Play listing maintained by NAVER Corp. That listing records an update on August 20, 2026. Omlet Arcade is reported to have ceased operating on June 30, 2023; that date comes from a secondary page reproducing a shutdown notice attributed to Omlet, not an accessible live Omlet announcement.

If you searched for an “Omlet Arcade alternative,” PRISM is the documented option here for broadcasting from a phone to YouTube. The comparison below focuses on what PRISM can do now and what Omlet’s reported closure means for a current setup—not on unsupported claims about Omlet’s former feature set.

How PRISM fits different YouTube streams

Camera and IRL broadcasts

PRISM’s Camera mode is for broadcasting through the phone camera. This is the most direct route for a face-to-camera or on-location stream. Image and audio quality still depend on the phone, lighting, microphone setup and network conditions.

PRISM and Omlet compared on the questions that matter

What you need to know PRISM Live Studio Mobile Omlet Arcade
Current status Current official mobile documentation and an India-facing Google Play listing are available; the listing records an August 20, 2026 update. A secondary page reproducing a notice attributed to Omlet says June 30, 2023 was the last operating day. An accessible first-party announcement was not found.
YouTube streaming PRISM’s official materials name YouTube as a supported destination and document mobile streaming modes. Not a current option according to the reported shutdown notice; current YouTube support cannot be established.
Broadcast modes Camera, screen/gameplay and VTuber modes are described in official materials and the app listing. Current modes cannot be established for a discontinued service.
Production tools Official materials describe features including overlays, viewer chat, chroma key, camera controls and multistreaming; availability can depend on version and device. Current feature availability cannot be established.
Audio Phone audio is an option; the Google Play listing says Bluetooth access can be used to connect an external Bluetooth microphone. Current audio setup cannot be established.
Reliability evidence PRISM support identifies unstable transmission and insufficient or temporarily low wireless bandwidth as reasons a platform may stop a stream. There is no current service to assess for a new setup.

Set up a YouTube stream from PRISM on your phone

  1. Install PRISM Live Studio Mobile. Use the India-facing Google Play listing and confirm the developer is NAVER Corp. Feature names and availability can change with app updates.
  2. Choose a broadcast mode. Select Camera for a camera-led stream, Screen for gameplay or other phone-screen content, or VTuber for a virtual-avatar broadcast. Grant the requested camera, microphone or screen-capture permissions for the mode you use.
  3. Connect YouTube. In PRISM’s destination or account settings, connect the YouTube account or channel you intend to use and select YouTube as the destination. Follow the current in-app prompts; menu labels can change between versions.
  4. Check YouTube eligibility and live controls. PRISM’s YouTube support does not mean every channel can stream immediately. Make sure YouTube allows live streaming on your account, and check the channel’s restrictions and the stream’s audience, title and visibility settings before going live.
  5. Prepare picture and sound. Frame the camera or select the screen to share, check that the microphone source is correct, and monitor the preview. The Play listing describes support for up to 1080p at 60 fps subject to device and environment availability; treat that as a developer-listed capability, not a guarantee for every phone or network.
  6. Set up the production tools you need. PRISM materials describe overlays and viewer chat, as well as options such as chroma key, camera controls and simulcasting. Add only the elements your app version and device expose, then confirm they appear as intended in the preview.
  7. Test privately or with an unlisted stream where appropriate. Confirm that video, audio, orientation, screen capture and chat behave as expected before sharing a public link. Check the YouTube preview and stream status rather than relying only on the phone’s local preview.
  8. Start the broadcast and keep an eye on the connection. A mobile stream depends on the phone’s Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If you move between networks, the signal weakens, or the phone struggles under load, the destination may receive unstable video or end the stream.

Connection, device and YouTube limits

Network stability matters more than a headline speed

PRISM support warns that wireless phone networks can be unreliable by nature. A connection may appear adequate and still suffer short drops or congestion; PRISM says low or temporarily insufficient bandwidth can prevent video from reaching the destination and may lead that platform to end the stream. Prefer a stable connection, avoid moving between Wi-Fi and mobile data during a broadcast, and test from the location where you plan to stream.

Phone capability affects the result

Screen capture, gameplay, camera effects and high-resolution output all place demands on a phone. The sources do not establish a universal minimum device specification. If the app stutters, the phone heats up, or the stream quality degrades, reduce demanding effects or output settings if available, stop background activity, and test again. Do not assume that a feature listed by the developer will perform identically on every handset.

Copyright and platform rules still apply

Streaming software does not grant rights to music, video clips, gameplay audio or other material you broadcast. Use content you own or are authorized to stream, and follow YouTube’s current copyright and community rules. PRISM’s support documentation also identifies policy enforcement by a destination platform as a reason it may stop a stream. The app’s release notes mention YouTube monetization support, but monetization depends on YouTube eligibility and rules; PRISM cannot guarantee it.

Live duration and archives

PRISM’s support page says YouTube has no maximum live-streaming duration, but says auto-archiving is supported only for streams under 12 hours and warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be archived at all. These are statements on PRISM’s support page; check YouTube’s current live and archive policies before planning a long broadcast because platform rules can change.

Common problems and fixes

  • YouTube is unavailable as a destination: Confirm you are signed into the intended account, reconnect it through PRISM’s current account settings, and check whether the channel is eligible to go live. App menus and platform requirements can change.
  • The stream looks choppy or stops: Test the connection at the streaming location, move closer to the Wi-Fi access point or use a more stable network, and avoid switching networks mid-stream. Lower output demands or disable effects if the phone is struggling.
  • Viewers cannot hear you: Check microphone permission and the selected audio source. If using a Bluetooth microphone, reconnect it and verify PRISM is receiving its input; the app listing identifies Bluetooth microphone connection as supported, but does not require a particular model.
  • Gameplay or screen sharing is missing: Confirm Screen mode and screen-capture permission, then verify the selected screen and orientation in the preview. Some device or app combinations may restrict capture.
  • The stream ended despite PRISM still being open: Check PRISM’s stream-status information and YouTube’s live dashboard. The destination can stop a broadcast because of transmission instability, policy enforcement or duration limits.
  • A long stream has no archive: PRISM support warns that YouTube auto-archiving may not be available for streams over 12 hours. For a long event, check the current YouTube policy and arrange a separate local recording if you need a dependable copy.

When a phone app is the wrong tool for an always-on channel

PRISM is suited to a live, phone-operated broadcast such as gameplay, a camera stream or a virtual-avatar session. If your goal instead is to keep pre-recorded videos looping on YouTube around the clock, a phone app requires a device and connection to remain involved. StreamNeo is a cloud alternative for YouTube: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It keeps the playback running with your computer off.

Or let it run in the cloud

With StreamNeo, nothing has to stay on at home. Every quality up to 4K 60fps streams as uploaded at one flat price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting from a live camera, and it streams to YouTube only. See StreamNeo, then start the free first day.
