StreamShark’s Live Scheduler can loop a prepared lineup of on-demand videos as a continuous live feed, but access requires a subscription plan with a Dedicated Server attached. Before building the playlist, confirm that your account can use Live Scheduler and ask StreamShark how that schedule is routed to your YouTube channel: its documentation describes YouTube restreaming generally but does not establish the current scheduler-to-YouTube connection steps.
What you need before you start
- A StreamShark subscription plan with a Dedicated Server attached and Live Scheduler access. StreamShark says availability or a trial can be discussed with your representative or account manager.
- Video files prepared in a format compatible with Live Scheduler and time for them to process and sync.
- A verified YouTube channel with no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube says first-time live-streaming activation may take up to 24 hours.
- Confirmation of the current method for sending your Live Scheduler output to YouTube. The exact account-specific connection is not established in StreamShark’s scheduler instructions.
You do not need OBS or a hardware encoder just to create the scheduled prerecorded playlist. Those are tools for sending a live camera, event feed, or other live input.
Set up the 24/7 prerecorded playlist
1. Confirm Live Scheduler and YouTube routing
Check with your StreamShark representative or account manager that Live Scheduler is enabled for your account and that its subscription includes the required Dedicated Server. Before uploading a large collection, also ask how your account connects a Live Scheduler output to YouTube. StreamShark documents native YouTube restreaming workflows, but the scheduler guide does not give the specific current destination setup. Do not assume that the ordinary encoder instructions are identical to the native scheduler workflow.
2. Upload and prepare your videos
- In StreamShark’s V2 VOD workflow, upload a file smaller than 5 GB from your computer. For a file larger than 5 GB, upload it to the file bucket first, then select it there.
- Add the video’s metadata and choose the Live Scheduler HD encoding profile for new videos. For an existing VOD asset, change its profile in the asset’s settings.
- Make sure each selected asset is active and compatible, then allow processing and syncing to finish before the planned start. A schedule cannot be ready to play until its selected content has synced.
3. Create the schedule and turn looping on
- Create a Live Schedule and give it a title.
- Choose whether it should start at a scheduled time or be started manually.
- Add the prepared videos and arrange them in the order you want viewers to see them.
- Enable Loop Content in the schedule options. With looping on, the lineup repeats until someone manually stops the broadcast; with looping off, the schedule ends when its videos finish.
StreamShark describes both a newer and a legacy interface, and says the newer interface is still rolling out. The screen layout and exact location of schedule options can therefore differ by account.

4. Wait for sync, then start the schedule
Wait until the selected videos have synced and the schedule is ready. For a manual start, use Go Live Now. For a scheduled start, let the schedule begin at the time you configured. A loop continues until it is manually stopped.
5. Complete the YouTube connection confirmed for your account
YouTube’s general encoder workflow uses a stream URL and stream key, and YouTube describes stream keys as credentials for your stream. Its instructions cover encoder-based setup; they do not establish that Live Scheduler uses those same fields or specify where to enter them in StreamShark. Follow the destination instructions StreamShark confirms for your account rather than guessing at a button or copying an encoder setup into the scheduler workflow.

On YouTube’s side, a channel must be verified and must not have a live-streaming restriction in the prior 90 days. YouTube says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours. Streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived; that guidance does not establish that a continuous broadcast longer than 12 hours will be saved as one complete archive.
If you are streaming a live camera or event instead
This is a different workflow from looping prerecorded VOD. StreamShark’s OBS guide says to create a live stream in the StreamShark portal, then configure OBS as a custom streaming server using the portal’s Server URL and Stream Name. Match OBS’s video bitrate, audio bitrate, and resolution to the selected StreamShark transcode profile.

These are settings listed in StreamShark’s OBS guide, not universal recommendations for every network, channel, or YouTube destination. StreamShark says a live input can use either software encoding or a hardware encoder; YouTube also presents software and standalone hardware as alternatives. YouTube recommends testing the stream, checking the Live Control Room preview, monitoring quality, and checking failover if you have configured a backup encoder. None of this equipment is a prerequisite for a Live Scheduler VOD loop.
Copyright and channel-safety checks
Only schedule videos you have the rights or permissions to stream on YouTube. A continuous loop does not change the rights status of the music, footage, or other material in a video. Check permissions for the content itself and any included music before putting it on a public schedule. YouTube’s channel eligibility requirement also applies: the channel must have no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days.

Troubleshooting
Live Scheduler is missing from the account
Confirm with your representative or account manager whether the account has a subscription plan with a Dedicated Server attached and whether Live Scheduler access is enabled. Do this before preparing a full playlist.
The schedule is not ready at the intended start time
Check that every selected asset is active, compatible, and fully processed and synced. If a video was recently uploaded or its encoding profile changed, allow additional time for those steps to finish before relying on a scheduled start.

A large video will not upload from the computer
For a file larger than 5 GB, StreamShark’s V2 instructions direct you to upload it to the file bucket first and then select it for use.
The playlist stops after the last video
Check the schedule’s Loop Content option. Without it, the schedule ends when the videos finish; with it, the schedule repeats until manually stopped.
You cannot find the YouTube stream-key field in Live Scheduler
Do not assume that the scheduler uses the same fields as an encoder. Confirm the current scheduler-to-YouTube routing procedure with StreamShark for your account; the documented general restream workflow does not provide that exact connection sequence.
YouTube will not let the channel start streaming
Check that the channel is verified, has no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and has completed live-stream activation. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
