“Always-on” describes the schedule, not the video source. A prerecorded playlist can repeat while you are away; a live camera feed shows what the camera sees in real time. Those workflows use different equipment and services, and a tool suited to one should not be treated as a substitute for the other.

Prerequisites for going live on YouTube
Before choosing a service or encoder, confirm that the channel can stream. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must have no live-streaming restrictions during the preceding 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.
YouTube describes mobile, webcam, and encoder workflows. An encoder is the relevant route when using external audio/video equipment or a more advanced production; YouTube’s encoder guidance also lists tools including Gyre and CamStreamer, for distinct use cases.

2. Gyre for cloud looping of prerecorded video
YouTube describes Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 streams of prerecorded videos. Gyre’s own workflow describes uploading files, building a playlist, connecting YouTube, and scheduling a continuous stream. It is therefore worth comparing for a video-library loop, rather than a live camera feed. Features, storage, stream limits, trial availability, and prices are vendor-published and can change; check Gyre’s current service details directly. Vendor growth or audience figures should not be treated as independently verified outcomes.

3. CamStreamer App with a compatible Axis camera for live footage
For a real-time view of a venue, public scene, or other camera location, YouTube lists CamStreamer App for Axis cameras. CamStreamer documents a 24/7 mode and a watchdog intended to keep a YouTube broadcast running through camera disconnections. This is not a way to rotate through prerecorded uploads. Confirm that the exact Axis camera model is compatible and check current licensing and cloud-service terms with CamStreamer before buying or deploying.
4. YouTube encoder workflow for a self-operated production
YouTube’s encoder path suits a producer who wants to send a camera, gameplay, or other live production to YouTube using software or dedicated hardware. It gives you control over a production workflow, but the encoder alone does not establish a cloud-hosted loop of uploaded videos or automatic recovery. Plan who will monitor the stream and what will happen if the computer, connection, or encoder stops.

These sources support treating IBM as a currently presented product, not calling it discontinued; they do not establish plan availability in every geography. Check IBM’s product information, support resources, and playlist guidance for the organization’s requirements.
For regulated, confidential, or employee-only broadcasts, access controls and branded portals may matter more than a creator-focused continuous YouTube workflow. Compare the audience, security and administration requirements—not just whether a service can keep a stream running.

Copyright and channel-policy checks before scheduling a loop
A continuous schedule does not make a video eligible to broadcast. Use content you own or have permission to stream, including music, artwork, and footage, and check the applicable rights for every item in a playlist. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements are separate from content rights. A tool can automate playback, but it cannot grant permission to use a recording or guarantee that a channel will satisfy YouTube policies.
