Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsIf your Be.Live broadcast keeps disconnecting from YouTube, first try starting a stream on YouTube without Be.Live. If that fails too, check YouTube’s live-stream access and any account restrictions. If it works, investigate Be.Live’s YouTube authorization, the error and health indicator in YouTube Live Control Room, your encoder, and your outbound internet connection—in that order.
1. Check whether YouTube can start a stream on its own
Try going live on the affected YouTube channel without using Be.Live. Be.Live recommends this as the first way to tell whether the problem is with YouTube access or the Be.Live connection.
- YouTube cannot start the broadcast: Read the on-screen error and check the channel’s live-stream eligibility or restrictions. The problem may be with the YouTube account rather than Be.Live.
- YouTube can start the broadcast: Focus next on Be.Live’s authorization, the live-stream error details, encoder output, and network stability.
Do not treat reauthorizing Be.Live as a universal fix: it is most relevant when YouTube works independently but Be.Live appears to have lost access to the channel. See Be.Live’s guidance for issues going live on YouTube.
2. Reconnect YouTube to Be.Live if authorization appears interrupted
If the channel or broadcast ID is missing in Be.Live, or the YouTube integration appears disconnected, refresh the connection rather than changing encoder settings at random.

- Check that your browser allows cookies and that any required sign-in or authorization pop-up is not being blocked.
- If the problem persists, temporarily disable suspicious or newly added browser extensions and clear the browser cache, then sign in to Be.Live again.
- For a connection that still appears interrupted, remove Be.Live from the connected-app permissions in your Google Account.
- Log back in to Be.Live and grant YouTube access again when prompted. Confirm that you authorize the Google account and channel you intend to use.
These steps follow Be.Live’s troubleshooting guidance; Google and Be.Live interface labels can change, so follow the current prompts shown in your account.
3. Read YouTube’s live-stream health indicator and error timestamps
Open YouTube Live Dashboard or Live Control Room and inspect the stream-health indicator and any errors beside it. YouTube identifies critical errors in red and moderate ones in yellow, and errors include timestamps. Match the message and time to the moment Be.Live disconnected; that gives you a more useful lead than changing settings without a specific symptom.

- If an error identifies a format problem: YouTube’s guidance for the format error describes H.264 video and AAC audio. Check your encoder’s output against that requirement.
- If the error names another issue: Follow that message instead. A disconnect is not automatically a format error.
See YouTube’s live-stream error messages for the current descriptions.
4. Check the encoder and the video source
If you use an encoder as part of your setup, inspect its output while the stream is running. YouTube recommends using the latest encoder version, checking the stream directly in the encoder, reviewing dashboard errors and CPU load, and examining a local recording for source problems.

- Watch and listen to the encoder’s output. Look for freezes, missing audio, or other problems before the signal reaches YouTube.
- Check CPU load and the dashboard’s error messages around the disconnect time.
- Review a local recording, if available, to see whether the problem is already present in the source.
If the encoder output is visibly or audibly faulty, investigate that issue before blaming the network. YouTube’s full checklist is at Troubleshoot your YouTube live stream. YouTube also advises users who sign in to YouTube directly through third-party streaming software without a stream key to contact that software’s support.
5. Test the outbound connection when encoder output is healthy
If the encoder output looks and sounds healthy but the live stream still fails, test the outbound internet connection. YouTube recommends contacting your internet provider if that connection is faulty.

Be.Live lists blurry or pixelated video, frozen images, changing quality, robotic voice, and audio cutouts as possible signs of an unstable network. It does not specify a minimum internet speed for going live, so there is no supported universal Mbps threshold to apply here. Be.Live’s setup guide recommends a stable connection and suggests Ethernet or another hard-wired connection to help avoid lag and delays; this is an option to test, not a guarantee against disconnects.

6. Verify the fix with a private or unlisted test
After changing one thing, test the broadcast before relying on it for a public event. Be.Live says you can choose private or unlisted visibility in the destination settings so the test is not visible to subscribers. Watch the stream long enough to confirm whether the disconnect recurs and check the YouTube health indicator for new, timestamped errors. See Be.Live’s instructions for testing the studio.
Which check should you try next?
| What you observe | Next check |
|---|---|
| YouTube will not start a stream independently | Check YouTube live eligibility and account restrictions. |
| YouTube works alone, but Be.Live’s channel or broadcast ID is missing or the integration appears interrupted | Check browser permissions and reconnect Be.Live’s Google Account authorization. |
| YouTube Live Control Room shows a timestamped error | Follow the specific error; check the video and audio formats only when the message points to a format issue. |
| Encoder output is poor or CPU load is high | Update the encoder, inspect the source and local recording, and check dashboard errors and CPU load. |
| Encoder output looks healthy but the broadcast still fails | Test outbound internet; contact your provider if the connection is faulty. |
| Freezing, pixelation, robotic voice, or audio cutouts occur | Assess connection stability and try a wired connection where practical. |
