To keep prerecorded videos running as a YouTube live broadcast without leaving a PC on, use a cloud playlist-streaming service: upload your videos, arrange them to loop or play in sequence, and connect the service to your YouTube live stream. A regular YouTube playlist is different—it organizes videos for viewers but does not itself turn them into a live broadcast. Before choosing a provider, confirm that it serves customers in India and check its media limits, looping and recovery behavior, YouTube connection method, and current terms.

Choose the right kind of stream

First decide whether viewers need an actual live broadcast or simply need to watch videos in order. YouTube’s official live overview lists mobile, webcam, encoder, and console approaches. Its encoder documentation describes a live feed sent to YouTube; a standard YouTube playlist is not described as a way to create that feed. See YouTube’s live-streaming overview and its HLS ingestion documentation.

  • Sequential on-demand viewing: Create an ordinary YouTube playlist if viewers can start videos themselves and do not need a live broadcast.
  • Continuous prerecorded live broadcast: Use a cloud service that plays uploaded media into an encoder feed. It is the closest match when no computer at home should run the stream.

YouTube’s mobile route is a user-started live stream, not an established unattended prerecorded-playlist loop. A local software encoder can send prerecorded media, but it requires a computer to remain available. The sources reviewed do not establish that a particular standalone hardware encoder can store and loop a playlist without a PC.

Check your channel and content before setup

Confirm live-stream eligibility

YouTube’s current help page says a channel must be verified, have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and be operated by someone at least 16 years old to livestream. Platform requirements can change, so check YouTube’s eligibility guidance before scheduling your broadcast.

Clear the rights to every video and track

Only stream video and audio you have permission to broadcast. A video being publicly available or previously uploaded does not automatically establish permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube says live content must comply with its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service; the platform guidance does not settle whether you have rights to a particular work or in a particular territory. Review YouTube’s rules and obtain any permissions you need before going public. The copyright safety checklist can help you work through the rights questions.

Choose a no-PC approach

1. StreamNeo: cloud playlist streaming

StreamNeo is the first option to consider for this workflow: it keeps a YouTube stream running from the cloud, plays uploaded videos, supports quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day with no card. Its workflow is to upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The computer at home can then be off. StreamNeo is for YouTube streaming only.

Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and StreamNeo team support. Videos stream as uploaded without re-encoding; there are no quality tiers. The same product is included on every plan—the billing period changes. The first day is free once per account, with no card required; you can choose a day, week, month, six months, or year and cancel any time. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support. See current details on the pricing page.

2. Other cloud playlist services

LiveGoLive and GoLiveIndia also describe cloud playlist-streaming services. Their descriptions alone do not establish current India availability, price, reliability, media limits, or cancellation terms. Verify those details directly with the provider before uploading content or connecting your channel.

3. Phone, computer, or dedicated encoder

A phone or tablet can start an ordinary mobile live stream, but the sources reviewed do not establish it as a hands-free prerecorded playlist broadcaster. Google’s Android developer documentation describes an integration with requirements including Android Marshmallow/API 23 or higher, a camera capable of 720p at at least 30 Hz, microphone, hardware audio and video encoding, and YouTube app version 13.02 or later. These are requirements on that developer page, not a guarantee that every current mobile live flow has the same minimums; see Google’s Android Live documentation.

A local encoder is an option if you accept keeping a computer powered and connected. For a dedicated hardware encoder, confirm in the manufacturer’s documentation that it can store and loop prerecorded media, schedule playback, and connect to YouTube; the cited YouTube documentation does not verify those capabilities for a specific device.

Set up the cloud playlist stream

  1. Check your YouTube channel. Verify the channel and confirm it is eligible to livestream under YouTube’s current rules. Make sure the person operating it meets the stated minimum age.
  2. Prepare the playlist. Choose video files you have the rights to broadcast. Decide the order, whether the sequence should repeat, and what should happen when the playlist ends. Check each provider’s supported formats, resolution, file size, and maximum stream duration before uploading.
  3. Choose a provider and check its terms. For an India-based channel, confirm that the service accepts customers in India. Check upload and storage limits, playlist controls, interruption recovery, YouTube connection method, account security, support, price, and cancellation terms. Do not assume those details from a general product description.
  4. Create or schedule the YouTube live event. In YouTube Live Control Room, follow YouTube’s current instructions to create or schedule a stream and obtain its encoder connection details. The exact interface can change. YouTube’s HLS documentation explains that encoder ingestion uses media playlists and segments and that ingestion details come from the live interface or API.
  5. Connect the service securely. Enter the stream key only through the provider’s official connection flow. Treat it like a password: do not publish it, send it in chat, or put it in a public document. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube’s live settings and update the provider.
  6. Upload and configure playback. Upload the media, arrange the sequence, and set the loop or queue behavior supported by your provider. If the service offers a choice of stream quality, check that it matches your source files and the requirements shown in YouTube Live Control Room.
  7. Test before launch. Run a private or unlisted test, then check video, audio, playlist order, and the transition between files. YouTube’s guidance recommends private or unlisted visibility when you are not streaming publicly. If possible, briefly interrupt the connection and confirm how the provider behaves; a test cannot guarantee that every later failure will be caught.
  8. Go public and monitor the first session. Confirm that the correct live event is active and that playback remains in order. Keep access to a way to stop the stream. Find out how the provider handles an ended playlist, rejected media, a dropped connection, or YouTube ending the broadcast.

Or let it run in the cloud

With StreamNeo, upload your recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home. Videos stream as uploaded at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot; automatic recovery is available if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. Start your StreamNeo free day.

Troubleshoot common problems

  • You cannot start a live stream: Check that the channel is verified, that it has no live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days, and that the operator meets YouTube’s stated age requirement. Review YouTube’s current eligibility page.
  • The service cannot connect to YouTube: Recheck the event’s encoder details and enter the key only in the provider’s official connection flow. If the key may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube and update the service connection.
  • Video or audio is missing: Confirm that the file is supported by the provider and plays correctly in its preview or test stream. Check the source file’s audio and video before repeating the upload.
  • Videos play in the wrong order or stop at the end: Review the playlist order and loop or queue setting. Ask the provider what it does when the playlist ends; behavior varies by service.
  • The stream stops after an interruption: Check the provider’s recovery behavior and the YouTube event status. Automatic recovery is service-specific, so test it rather than assuming every provider restarts in the same way.
  • YouTube blocks or interrupts the broadcast: Check for live restrictions, policy notices, and possible rights issues with the video or audio. Do not assume that a successful upload clears content for live rebroadcast.
  • The upload is taking too long: Check your connection and file size, then use an upload-time estimate to plan. Upload timing depends on the files and available connection, not just the stream’s intended resolution.
