Some 24/7 YouTube streaming providers in India explicitly say they issue GST invoices, but there is no evidence that every service does. StreamSetu says it adds 18% GST at checkout and provides a GST invoice for every payment. StreamNeo’s own comparison article says GST invoices are available for business expenses, but confirm the details with its billing team or checkout before relying on that statement. Other providers’ pages may simply omit invoice information; silence is not proof that they do not issue invoices.

What to ask before subscribing
- Will you issue a GST tax invoice for this subscription, and for every renewal or payment?
- Can I enter my business’s legal name, billing address and GSTIN before payment, and will the GSTIN appear on the invoice?
- What supplier legal name and GSTIN will appear? How will the tax be shown for my billing location, including any CGST/SGST or IGST breakup?
- Can you provide a sample invoice or tell me where to retrieve the final document after payment?
- What billing term, cancellation or refund conditions, stream capacity and support are included?
For StreamSetu specifically, the pricing page promises a GST invoice for every payment, but the wording reviewed does not explain how to ensure the buyer’s GSTIN appears. Confirm the invoice recipient details before checkout.
How to check the invoice document
CBIC’s invoice rules identify particulars a registered supplier’s tax invoice contains. Relevant fields include supplier name, address and GSTIN; a unique invoice number and issue date; recipient name, address and GSTIN/UIN if registered; description of the service; taxable value; tax rate and tax amount; and applicable place-of-supply and other details. Do not apply Google’s GST guidance to an independent streaming service
Google’s India Payments guidance describes GST on purchases from Google, based on the service provider and billing location. For Google purchases, it describes 9% CGST plus 9% SGST when bill-to and bill-from states match, or 18% IGST otherwise, and says the matching GSTIN appears on Google invoices. Those details concern Google’s payments profiles; they do not establish the tax treatment or invoice policy of a third-party streaming provider. Google Payments Center Help
