Yes, potentially—but streaming bhajans around the clock does not by itself qualify a channel for monetization or guarantee ad revenue. You need to be accepted into the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), meet the applicable monetization requirements, accept the relevant terms, and have the necessary rights to every recording, composition, and visual in the broadcast. YouTube also reviews a channel’s originality, including live streams, so a continuous loop of recordings you do not own can create both copyright and reused-content risks.

What has to be true for a bhajan livestream to earn money?

Monetization depends on your channel’s eligibility, the features available in your location, the content in the stream, and whether YouTube serves ads. The stream’s 24/7 duration is not a separate route to YPP or a guarantee of income.

Join YPP and accept the relevant terms

YouTube says creators must apply to and be accepted into YPP before earning through the program. Its current help page lists the ad-revenue threshold as 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 qualified public watch hours in the previous 365 days or 10 million qualified public Shorts views in the previous 90 days. Availability also depends on country or region and other program requirements. Check your channel’s status and available monetization modules in YouTube Studio; YouTube reviews channels before acceptance and may review them afterward. YouTube’s YPP eligibility guidance

Enable live-stream monetization

Eligible partners can enable Watch Page ads on live streams after accepting the Watch Page Monetization Module. YouTube describes pre-roll and display ads, as well as mid-roll ads that can be automatic, scheduled, or inserted manually. Turning monetization on does not mean an ad will appear for every viewer or at every opportunity: YouTube’s systems determine ad delivery. YouTube’s live-stream ad guidance

Check which other earning features are available

Depending on your channel’s eligibility, location, and accepted terms, YouTube may offer memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers, Premium revenue, or Shopping. Confirm feature access in Studio rather than assuming every feature is available to every channel or viewer. YouTube’s YPP guidance

Can you use bhajan recordings you found online?

Not just because they are devotional, old, or labeled “free.” YouTube’s live-stream terms put the responsibility on the provider to have the rights needed to use the live content worldwide, including music rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other rights participants. YouTube states: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” YouTube live-stream terms

Check the recording as well as the song

A traditional or public-domain composition may still appear in a newer protected arrangement or sound recording. Check rights for the particular composition, arrangement, recording, and any visuals you plan to broadcast. A license to use one recording does not necessarily cover another artist’s version or the images in a video.

YouTube defines safe music as public-domain music or music you have permission to use from the copyright owner. Its guidance warns that a track described as “free” can still receive a Content ID claim; a description or uploader’s assertion does not establish that you have a license. Options YouTube identifies include its Audio Library, music you made yourself, Creator Music where its terms allow the intended use, and properly licensed third-party music. Do not assume Creator Music clears a livestream

YouTube’s cited Creator Music usage guidance says its licensed and revenue-sharing tracks can be used in long-form videos, not live streams. Do not treat a track’s presence in that catalog as permission for a live bhajan broadcast; read the license for the intended use. YouTube Creator Music usage guidance

Keep a rights file

As a practical safeguard, retain written permissions or license terms that cover YouTube livestreaming, monetization, territories, the period of use, and archived replay or VOD use. Keep the relevant details for the actual composition and sound recording, plus any visuals. This record-keeping list is a prudent workflow, not a specific checklist YouTube says creators must keep.

Can a repeated 24/7 loop pass YouTube’s originality review?

Possibly, but a loop is not automatically monetizable just because the underlying material is devotional or the stream runs continuously. YouTube applies its monetization policies to live streams as well as uploaded videos. On July 15, 2025, it renamed “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content,” saying the change clarified that repetitive or mass-produced material is ineligible and did not change its reused-content policy. Reused content includes material from YouTube or elsewhere republished without significant original commentary, substantive modification, or educational or entertainment value. Reviewers assess the channel as a whole and may consider its videos, titles, descriptions, and channel description. YouTube’s channel monetization policies

Make authorship and added value clear

YouTube’s policy does not say every long stream, loop, devotional broadcast, or repeated song is disqualified. The risk is that a channel built around reused material with little original contribution may not meet its standards. A live performance by your channel, original arrangements or production, meaningful spoken context, and clear descriptions can help show what you created and what value you add; none guarantees YPP acceptance. Do not represent another artist’s recording as your own.

What does live ad placement mean for a 24/7 stream?

When live-stream monetization is enabled, YouTube says pre-roll and display ads are automatically enabled. Mid-rolls can be automatic, inserted manually, or scheduled at intervals of 6, 12, 18, 24, or 30 minutes. These are available settings, not a promise that an ad will serve each time. Consider whether interruptions fit the devotional experience before choosing manual or scheduled breaks. YouTube’s live-stream ad settings

YouTube reported that creators who selected automatic live mid-roll ads saw an average uplift of over 20% in in-stream ad revenue per hour compared with channels that did not, across 207 countries. This is YouTube’s January 2024 platform-reported group comparison—not a bhajan-specific estimate or a guarantee of what an individual channel will earn. YouTube’s live-stream ad guidance

How can you assess your channel’s prospects?

  1. Check YPP status in YouTube Studio. Confirm whether your channel meets the current eligibility rules, is accepted, and has access to Watch Page monetization and any other features you intend to use.
  2. Audit every asset in the stream. Identify the source and rights for each song, arrangement, recording, and visual. Do not rely on “free” labels or devotional subject matter as proof of permission.
  3. Review the channel for originality. Consider whether reviewers can tell what your channel created or added, particularly if the stream repeats recordings or material from other sources.
  4. Choose ad placement deliberately. Decide whether mid-rolls suit the listening experience, and remember that selecting an ad option does not guarantee delivery.
  5. Check claims and performance in Studio. Use the channel’s actual status and available reporting to evaluate the result; eligibility rules and individual ad delivery cannot predict your earnings.

Or let it run in the cloud

StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping uploaded videos live on YouTube: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer and home internet connection do not have to stay on. It does not clear music rights or guarantee YPP acceptance, so you still need to verify every recording and visual and meet YouTube’s policies.

  • One flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps, with no re-encode or quality tiers.
  • Automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream.
  • The first day is free with no card; one free day per account.
