But looping is a playback setting, not a way to create a live broadcast. If you want your relaxation videos to appear as a live stream on your channel, you must start a separate YouTube broadcast.
Loop a playlist while you watch
YouTube’s Loop control repeats videos in a playlist during playback. The steps vary by device.
On a computer
- Open a video that is part of the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel if it is collapsed.
- Click Loop in the playlist box. The playlist will repeat.
On Android
- Start playing the playlist.
- Tap Loop in the playlist control box below the video.
- Tap Loop again if you want to repeat only the current video instead of the whole playlist.
On a TV or game console
- Start the playlist and open the playback controls.
- Select Repeat until the control indicates Repeat • Playlist.
YouTube documents playlist looping on desktop and Android, and playlist repeat on TVs and game consoles. The exact controls may vary as YouTube updates its interface. See YouTube’s playlist-looping instructions.
Does looping make the playlist a relaxation live stream?
No. Loop repeats videos for the person watching them; it does not send a live broadcast from your channel. YouTube describes live streaming as a separate way to interact with an audience in real time through a video feed, chat, and more. To broadcast relaxation content live, start a YouTube live stream through its live-streaming workflow. An encoder is one available method; YouTube recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production-value events, not for ordinary playlist playback. Read YouTube’s live-streaming overview and live-streaming tips.

| Your goal | What to do | What it does | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Listen to or watch relaxation videos repeatedly | Use the playlist’s Loop or Repeat control | Repeats videos during your playback | It does not create a live broadcast. |
| Present relaxation content as a live broadcast on your channel | Start a separate YouTube live stream, using an available method such as an encoder | Sends a live broadcast to YouTube | Starting the broadcast is separate from looping a viewer’s playlist. |
Account for YouTube’s autoplay check
If your viewing relies on autoplay, YouTube may show a “Continue watching?” prompt after uninterrupted viewing. Its published intervals are 30 minutes on mobile, 60 minutes on the web, and 180 minutes on TV. These are autoplay prompt intervals; they do not establish that manually looped playback is always interrupted at those times. See YouTube’s explanation of the prompt.
If you want your channel to stay live
A viewer’s Loop setting cannot keep your channel broadcasting. A replay or highlights may be posted after a stream ends, but availability is conditional. YouTube says replays appear as videos on the channel when posted; do not assume every live stream will automatically have a replay. Read YouTube’s live-stream overview.
