Verdict: OneStream Live is a cloud-based option for running prerecorded video as a continuous YouTube stream, without leaving a computer or encoder running at home. It is a conditional fit: OneStream’s Help Center says its dedicated 24/7 feature is YouTube-only, requires Enterprise, and allows a scheduled run of up to 30 days. Its pricing page separately advertises a 24-hour YouTube add-on, so confirm the eligible plan and total checkout price before buying.
This is a source-based review of documented features, not a hands-on test. No independent uptime benchmark or firsthand reliability assessment is available.
What OneStream Live does for an always-on channel
OneStream Live lets you schedule prerecorded video to play as a YouTube livestream from the cloud. For the dedicated 24/7 workflow, you supply video, choose a connected YouTube channel, add stream details, and schedule the run. The cloud service handles playback; OneStream’s product description does not make an always-on local computer or hardware encoder a requirement for this prerecorded loop.
That differs from OneStream’s separate live-input workflow, which uses an encoder to send a live production. Its general product description says it supports more than 45 social platforms and custom RTMP destinations, but that broad destination count should not be read as support for 24/7 looping on every destination. How to start a 24/7 stream with OneStream
- Connect your YouTube channel. Make sure the channel is available in your OneStream account before configuring the 24/7 stream.
- Create a 24-hour stream. In OneStream, start the dedicated 24/7 streaming workflow described in its setup instructions.
- Add the video. Choose video from your device, OneStream storage, or a supported cloud storage source. Check that your selected file is the intended content and that you have rights to stream it.
- Select the YouTube channel and enter stream details. Provide the stream information requested in the setup flow, then schedule the stream.
- Choose the run duration. OneStream’s instructions state that a scheduled 24/7 run can last up to 30 days. Plan a renewal or subsequent run if you need the channel to continue beyond that limit, and verify the current interface in case the instructions or product limits have changed.
OneStream’s general prerecorded-stream scheduler is described as allowing scheduling up to 60 days ahead. That scheduling horizon is separate from the 30-day maximum duration of a 24/7 run; it does not mean a continuous stream can be scheduled to run for 60 days. Plan requirement and price: confirm before subscribing
OneStream’s Help Center says 24/7 streaming is exclusive to YouTube and requires an Enterprise plan. Its pricing page separately lists Enterprise at $139 per month in the displayed monthly plan table and advertises a 24-hour YouTube stream add-on for $30 per month. The available descriptions do not clearly reconcile whether the add-on is an alternative entitlement, an extra charge, or subject to particular base-plan conditions.
Before paying, confirm in the current checkout flow which base plan qualifies, whether the add-on is required, what the combined recurring cost will be, and whether the entitlement covers the number of concurrent streams you need. What happens when the video ends?
The feature is presented as 24/7 looping, but the cited setup material does not establish every playback edge case, such as exactly how a particular playlist transitions or what viewers see during a file change. Test the chosen content and playlist behavior before relying on it for an unattended channel. Also treat the 30-day scheduled duration as a boundary: a looping video does not remove the need to plan for the end of the scheduled run.

Do not treat continuous playback as a monetization shortcut or a guarantee of qualifying watch time, ads, or channel approval. YouTube applies its channel monetization policies, including originality and reused-content review, to content viewed on YouTube. A stream’s eligibility and any ad delivery depend on YouTube’s rules and the channel’s status; the streaming service cannot promise either. Review YouTube channel monetization policies and YouTube live-stream monetization guidance.
You must also hold the rights needed to livestream and archive the material, including music rights where applicable. A video you can watch or upload is not automatically cleared for continuous public streaming. See YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions.

Archiving a stream longer than 12 hours
Do not rely on YouTube’s automatic archive to preserve a complete 24/7 broadcast. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If keeping the full broadcast matters, arrange a separate recording or archive strategy and verify that it covers the entire stream. YouTube archive guidance.
Where OneStream fits—and its limits
A reasonable fit
- You have prerecorded, rights-cleared content and want cloud scheduling for a continuous YouTube channel.
- You do not want a local computer or encoder to remain on for that prerecorded loop.
- You can work within a scheduled run of up to 30 days and confirm the applicable plan and cost before subscribing.
Look elsewhere or clarify first
- You need this dedicated continuous-loop feature on a platform other than YouTube; OneStream documents its 24/7 feature as YouTube-only.
- You need an uninterrupted run longer than 30 days without rescheduling.
- You need independently verified uptime data. The vendor materials cited here do not establish an independent reliability benchmark or service-level result.
- You need to preserve the entire broadcast through YouTube’s automatic archive; streams beyond 12 hours may not be captured.
Troubleshooting and checks before going live
The 24/7 option is unavailable
Check whether your account has the plan or add-on currently required. The Help Center identifies Enterprise as required, while the pricing page also advertises a 24-hour add-on; ask OneStream support to confirm the exact entitlement and total price for your account.

Check the scheduled start and end details and whether the run has reached the documented 30-day maximum. A 24/7 stream still has a finite scheduled duration, so create a continuation plan rather than assuming it will renew automatically.

The video or playlist does not behave as expected
Confirm that the intended source was selected and that the video is available to the OneStream workflow. Run a test with the actual file or playlist and observe the transition when content ends; the available setup documentation does not specify every edge case.
The stream is not eligible for monetization or receives no ads
Check YouTube channel eligibility, monetization settings, and content-policy status. Confirm you hold the necessary rights, particularly for music. OneStream cannot override YouTube’s monetization decisions or guarantee that ads will serve.
The live broadcast is missing from the archive
For a stream longer than 12 hours, this may reflect YouTube’s archive limitation rather than a OneStream scheduling fault. Use a separate recording strategy when complete preservation is required.
