If you need a prerecorded YouTube Live stream to repeat continuously, choose a service that explicitly supports playlist looping—not merely one that schedules a single video. StreamNeo is the first option to consider for an always-on YouTube stream: it runs uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and includes a free first day. Restream itself also advertises uploaded-video playlists and looping, so it may not need replacing; check its current plan limits for your exact use case.

First decide whether you need a loop or a scheduled broadcast

These tools solve two different problems. Continuous playout means a playlist keeps repeating until you stop the stream. A scheduled prerecorded broadcast starts a finished video at a chosen time and ends when that video finishes. If the requirement is “keep my YouTube channel live with this playlist,” confirm loop behavior, restart behavior, and any duration or iteration limits before paying.

  • Continuous playlist: look for explicit playlist looping and cloud operation.
  • One scheduled video: a prerecorded broadcast feature may be enough if ending after the video is expected.
  • Local encoder: choose this when scene and encoder control matter enough to justify keeping your own system and connection running.

Best options for looping YouTube videos

Rank Option Best fit What to know
1 StreamNeo Cloud-based, always-on YouTube playout from uploaded videos Runs from the cloud, supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. It is YouTube-only and plays uploaded videos rather than a live camera feed.
2 Gyre A cloud playlist that restarts continuously Gyre documents uploading files, assembling a playlist, connecting YouTube, scheduling the stream, and restarting the playlist when it ends. This establishes its documented workflow, not comparative reliability or audience results.
3 Restream Creators who want uploaded-video scheduling, playlists, and looping in its product Its product page advertises these capabilities, but exact loop and playlist limits are not settled by the retrieved official page. Verify the current limit and plan at checkout.
4 StreamYard A scheduled prerecorded event that runs while you are offline Its help article says the broadcast starts at the selected time and ends when the video finishes. It is not documented there as an indefinitely repeating playlist.
5 OBS Hands-on local encoding and scene control A local encoder gives you configuration control, but your computer, OBS, and internet connection must remain available and stable.

1. StreamNeo: cloud looping without a running home computer

StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded recordings. If YouTube drops the stream, StreamNeo automatically recovers. Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, and team support. The same product is included on every plan; only the billing length changes.

2. Gyre: documented continuous cloud playlist workflow

Gyre’s product page describes a workflow designed around continuous prerecorded video: upload files, make a playlist, connect YouTube, schedule the broadcast, and let the playlist restart when it ends. YouTube’s encoder directory also describes Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded YouTube videos. Those descriptions establish the stated workflow, not independent evidence of uptime, audience growth, retention, or monetization results.

Before choosing any cloud service, check the current plan for the number of concurrent streams, video storage, supported destinations, playlist controls, and how it handles a dropped connection. These details can change and should be confirmed on the provider’s current product documentation.

3. Restream: it advertises looping, but verify the limits

Restream’s current product page advertises uploading and queueing prerecorded videos, scheduling, playlists, and looping. The page displayed several upload-library tiers: Premier with a two-hour library and scheduling; Marathon with a four-hour library, scheduling, playlists, and looping; and Media with a 12-hour library, 4K video, scheduling, playlists, and looping. The page showed $0 monthly for those rows when retrieved, which may reflect a promotion or page state rather than stable pricing. Check Restream’s live pricing and checkout before relying on a price or feature entitlement.

The official product page available for this comparison does not establish every maximum duration or playlist-loop restriction. A competing vendor’s July 10, 2026 comparison reports a 40-hour looping cap and says playlists do not loop, while also referring to Restream help-center language. Treat that as a lead to verify—not a confirmed current limit. Check Restream’s own current help documentation for the plan you intend to use, especially if your loop must run indefinitely or a playlist must restart automatically.

4. StreamYard: schedule one prerecorded event

StreamYard’s help documentation says a prerecorded video can be scheduled to start automatically at a selected time, even if you are offline, and that the broadcast ends when the video finishes. Its prerecorded mode does not run through the standard live studio, so the usual live overlay and media-asset controls are not available in the same way. Comments can still be viewed on the destination. This makes it a candidate for a scheduled event, not an established substitute for an endlessly repeating playlist.

5. OBS: local control with an operational burden

OBS is a local encoder option for creators who want to configure scenes and manage the stream themselves. YouTube’s encoder help page is the official starting point for creating an encoder-based live stream. In a local workflow, the computer must stay on, OBS must continue running, and the internet connection must remain stable for the broadcast to continue. If the machine sleeps, reboots, loses power, or drops its connection, the stream can stop; a local setup therefore needs monitoring and a recovery plan.

For deeper comparisons, LiveReacting, OneStream Live, Upstream, and Castr are also named as candidates for always-on or prerecorded-video workflows in a competing vendor’s July 2026 comparison. Their current destinations, limits, and pricing are not established here, so confirm each provider’s own documentation before treating one as a match.

What to check before choosing

  • Loop behavior: Does one video repeat, does a playlist restart from the beginning, and can it run until you stop it?
  • Restart handling: What happens after a network interruption or a YouTube disconnect? Is recovery automatic, manual, or not stated?
  • Scheduling versus always-on: Does the service end after one video, or keep a continuous stream going?
  • Destination: Confirm YouTube support and any account or channel prerequisites. Do not infer other platform support from YouTube compatibility.
  • Storage and format: Check library capacity, per-file duration, file size, resolution, and whether the service changes the uploaded video.
  • Cost: Compare the plan that actually includes your needed loop behavior, number of slots, storage, and stream duration. A displayed promotion may not represent the recurring price.
  • Content rights and YouTube rules: Use video and audio you have rights to broadcast. Repeating material does not exempt it from copyright rules or YouTube’s monetization policies; review the current rules for reused and repetitive content before building a channel around loops.

Or let it run in the cloud

With StreamNeo, the setup is three steps: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, then go live. Nothing has to stay running at home; uploads stream at their original quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot; and automatic recovery can restart the stream if YouTube drops it. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Start your free StreamNeo day.
