StreamNeo is the clearest 4K fit among the options compared here: it streams uploaded files to YouTube as made, up to 4K at 60 fps, without re-encoding. LiveReacting also documents a 4K upgrade for its 24/7 service. Upstream advertises 4K, but its page does not make the exact 24/7 plan conditions clear. YouTube can receive a 4K live feed, but that does not mean every service that accepts a 4K file will send it out in 4K.

What “supports 4K files” needs to mean
A service can accept a 4K upload and then downscale it. Another may pass through a 4K encoder feed but offer no cloud playlist or uploaded-file loop. For a 24/7 prerecorded YouTube stream, the practical question is whether the service can play your file continuously and deliver the live output at 2160p—not merely whether “4K” appears somewhere on its product page.
- Upload acceptance: Can you upload the file’s resolution, codec, frame rate, bitrate, size, and duration?
- Processing: Does the service re-encode or downscale the file? If so, what output resolution and frame rate will it use?
- Live output: Does the plan send 2160p to YouTube, and are there plan upgrades, add-ons, or settings required?
- Continuous playout: Does it loop files or playlists continuously, and are there destination or maximum-run restrictions?
Ask the vendor to confirm all four for the exact plan you plan to use. “4K supported” alone does not answer them.

Preparing a 4K file for a 24/7 stream
LiveReacting’s published file guidance
LiveReacting’s help guidance, updated in 2026, recommends H.264 video and AAC audio. For 3840×2160 files it lists up to 30 Mbps at 30 fps or 35 Mbps at 60 fps, and a 10 GB maximum per video file for its 24/7 Streaming plan. The vendor says files outside its recommendations may still be uploaded and encoded; do not assume another service has the same limits or behavior.
Check the file and destination together
- Match the source frame rate and resolution to the output you want; a lower-resolution file cannot become genuine 4K just because a service offers a 4K setting.
- Confirm codec, audio format, maximum file size, and any duration limit against the chosen service’s current documentation.
- Confirm that your YouTube channel is eligible to live stream and that the selected service’s workflow targets YouTube.
- Test a broadcast before relying on it. YouTube recommends using settings the connection can sustain and monitoring stream health; 2160p uses normal latency rather than the low-latency option described in its encoder guidance.
Questions to settle before paying
- Does the exact plan provide 4K live output for uploaded files, or only accept 4K uploads?
- Will the service re-encode, and can it preserve the file’s original resolution and frame rate?
- What are the per-file size and duration limits, accepted formats, and codec and bitrate requirements?
- Does the service run indefinitely, or is there a maximum scheduled duration? OneStream Live’s cited 24/7 documentation specifies YouTube only, Enterprise, and a 30-day maximum per scheduled run.
- Is 4K included, or is it a paid upgrade? Confirm the current price and plan terms directly with the vendor.
- Have you checked YouTube copyright rules and whether your channel’s content complies with YouTube’s policies on reused content? A technically valid stream does not grant rights to use the videos or guarantee monetization.
