If the video or playlist is still playing, turn on YouTube’s Loop or Repeat control. If the live broadcast itself has ended, looping in your player cannot restart it: only the channel operator can restart the broadcast or keep its source running. First check whether playback stopped within a video or playlist, or whether the channel’s live stream ended.
Repeat a lofi video or playlist as a viewer
YouTube supports repeating an available video or playlist. Choose the control for the playback you want: repeating one video is different from repeating the whole playlist. The options can vary by device and YouTube interface.
On a computer
- Repeat one video: Right-click inside the video player and select Loop.
- Repeat a playlist: Open the playlist box beside the video and select Loop.
On a phone or tablet
- Repeat one video: Open Settings, then Additional settings, and turn on Loop video.
- Repeat a playlist: Start the playlist and tap Loop in its playlist controls. Tap Loop again if you want to repeat only the current video; the control indicates this with a “1.”
On a TV or game console
While the video is playing, open the player controls and select Repeat. Cycle the setting until it repeats the current video or the playlist, whichever you want.
If the live broadcast ended
A viewer cannot restart someone else’s broadcast or make its source continue by turning on Loop. Visit the channel to see whether its operator has restarted the stream. Otherwise, choose another available lofi video or playlist and enable repeat using the instructions above.

If you own the channel and want continuous live playback
Keeping a YouTube live stream going after a track ends is a creator-side task: the channel’s source must continue sending video to YouTube. Broadly, you can operate an encoder on a computer or VPS, or use a cloud playlist-streaming service. These are different approaches, not guarantees of uninterrupted playback. Check whether an option supports one video, a playlist, or both; how it handles item endings and edits; whether it sends to your intended destination; what hardware it requires; and what recovery behavior and current terms are documented.
Local encoder or VPS
A local encoder or a process you operate on a VPS can provide the source for your broadcast. This approach leaves the source, connection, and ongoing operation in your hands. The provider descriptions available for this topic mention OBS media-source looping and an ffmpeg loop on a VPS as possible approaches, but do not establish specific settings or independently verify reliability. Follow the current documentation for your chosen encoder and YouTube’s live-stream setup rather than assuming a player Loop control will keep the broadcast alive.

Cloud playlist streaming
Cloud services can take uploaded video or playlists and send them to a live destination. StreamNeo says it supports playlist streaming to YouTube; Beamd’s help page describes uploading a video or playlist, selecting a destination such as YouTube, and enabling Loop. Beamd says playback ends with the video when looping is off and starts again when looping is on. These are provider descriptions, not independent reliability tests or guarantees of seamless playback. Check current features and terms directly before choosing a service.

Common problems and what to check
- Loop is missing or does not repeat: Confirm whether you are trying to repeat one video or a playlist, then use the matching control for your device. On mobile, the single-video option is under Settings > Additional settings > Loop video.
- The channel says the stream ended: Viewer-side repeat cannot revive a broadcast. Check the channel for a restarted stream or switch to an available video or playlist.
- Your own stream stops when a track ends: Check whether the source is configured to loop the file or playlist and whether it remains connected to YouTube. A player-side loop on a viewer’s device is not a substitute for a running broadcast source.
- A cloud stream does not behave as expected: Verify the selected destination, whether looping is enabled, and how the service handles playlist changes while live. Confirm documented recovery behavior and current service terms rather than assuming all services work alike.
