Cameron Payne has signed with Anadolu Efes in Turkey, the club announced on October 3, 2026. Efes said his contract runs through the end of the 2026–27 season. Payne most recently played in Europe for Partizan.
What team did Cameron Payne sign with?
Payne signed with Anadolu Efes, the Istanbul-based club. The team’s October 3 announcement, reproduced by Novasports, says the agreement lasts through the end of the 2026–27 season. The contract length is the club’s announced term, rather than an independently reported breakdown of its conditions.
Efes welcomed Payne in English with the line, “Welcome to your new family Cameron!” Its Turkish announcement describes him as an experienced point guard who played for Partizan last season and says he signed through the 2026–27 season’s end.
Why did Anadolu Efes sign Payne?
Turkish sports coverage reported that Efes brought him in to fill the place left by Mike James’s injury. That is the reported context for the move; the club announcement itself does not establish that as its roster rationale.

What did Payne do with Partizan?
Payne’s most recent European club was Partizan. In a 2026 report on the prior season, beIN SPORTS Türkiye said he played 10 EuroLeague games and averaged 12.4 points, 3.9 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game. Those figures describe his Partizan appearances, not his expected production for Efes.
The ABA League player profile also lists Partizan in his 2025/26 club history, though the profile warns that its data may not be up to date.

NBA.com’s player biography lists Payne’s NBA career with Oklahoma City, Chicago, Cleveland, Phoenix, Milwaukee and Philadelphia. At the profile’s October 3, 2026 access time, it recorded 405 career NBA games and averages of 7.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. These are career totals and averages, not current Efes statistics.

The move gives Efes an experienced point guard with recent EuroLeague playing time at Partizan. His prior-season line supplies context, but it does not establish how he will perform in a different team or predict Efes’s results. No outcome follows automatically from the signing.
