CBS Sports/RotoWire attributed the report to NHL.com reporter Lou Korac; the Blues’ official preview confirms the game details but does not name the starting goalie. Read the report and check the Blues’ preview.
Who is expected to start in goal for the Blues?
Binnington is the reported pick for Saturday’s game, but the assignment is not independently confirmed in the Blues’ official preview. Treat it as an expected start rather than a team-confirmed announcement. The October 2 CBS Sports/RotoWire item attributes the report to NHL.com reporter Lou Korac and does not include a direct coach quote confirming the decision.
When and where are the Blues playing Colorado?
St. Louis is scheduled to face Colorado at Ball Arena in Denver on Saturday, October 3, at 8 p.m. CT. The game is the second half of the Blues’ first back-to-back of the season. The team preview lists Blue Note+ for viewing and 101 ESPN for radio. See the official game preview.
Binnington or Hofer: What is the goalie context?
Joel Hofer started St. Louis’s season opener against Dallas and recorded a shutout in the Blues’ 4-0 win, according to the official Blues site. Binnington’s reported assignment would put him in goal for the next game, but one back-to-back does not establish a season-long goalie hierarchy.
